Bella comes to Forks at age 17. She meets the Cullen family. They all become friends. But is Bella really a normal human? Why did she come to live with Charlie at all? And who is the boy that really captures her heart? (Not the best summary I've ever written, but I don't want to give away something that will be discovered as you read) Also, possible/probable non-cannon pairings.

In the many years I've walked the earth, never was I truly sure of the outcomes of my ventures. Never once was I completely certain of the choices I've made. The only thing you can do is weigh your options and choose accordingly.

That's what the Lab Techs had called it. It was the project that I had been slated for. I would be one of GenTech's few successes and the only member of the Angel Experiment to survive Project Lucifer, one of the lucky ones.

Or unlucky, depending on your point of view.

One of the others once asked me "How do you do it?" He meant, how can I go on after everything that's happened or why I keep going when everything seems to be stacked against me. After the... after everything, I was never the same; it changed me. I didn't want to be helpless anymore, so I found ways to manage. I grew up; I got stronger, reshaped what they had broken. That was my life, picking up the pieces-just finding ways to get by-or that's what I tell everybody at least.

If I were to be completely honest with myself, the truth is that I just don't like to lose. Ever since they took away everything, I have loathed being defeated in any way, shape, or form. I felt so... helpless, weak, unable to do anything to protect myself much less anyone else.

Put simply, it all pissed me off, but the joke's on them; Lucifer turned on his creator... and they were only playing God.

Life in Forks Washington is about to change forever. Two warriors who have lost their world to a great evil are being sent to the Cullen's to protect them and most importantly Bella Swan.
