The year was 1934 and the summer was one of the warmest I had the displeasure of experiencing in the little logging town of Forks, Washington. The usual rainy weather that had been my constant companion these last 5 years had been scarce leaving me to the heat that never seemed to go below 90 degrees even once the sun had fallen beyond the horizon. But the stifling heat was nothing compared to formality of my life. My days had been filled with endless tea times, hours upon hours of practicing the pianoforte and horrid dresses that sucked the life right out of me. That year was also the year that I met a them, the family that changed my how I wanted to live my life.

The Cullen household had been ravaged by a loss that Bella still didn't quite comprehend; Emmett was so wrapped in his own guilt for letting Rose go that he was still a stanger to her. With summer approaching, Bella makes a last ditch effort to convince them all to come with her to visit a part of her family that explains away her own mysteries.

And possibly heals the Cullens' old wounds.

Bella is the miserable adopted daughter of Rosalie, and stuck between her two ugly stepsisters, she has to do her best to meet her Prince Charming, to break free of her miserable life and attend the masked prom that will determine her future.

Set during and after Chapter Three of New Moon.  Bella wasn't found by Sam, someone else found her.  Jasper/Bella pairing. 

Forks was supposed to be good for him. A change. But Edward didn't like change. It was unavoidable at this point though. He didn't feel seventeen anymore. He didn't feel like he should want to be at school like everyone else. He didn't want to forget. But she made him forget. She made him want to be there. Why was he so inexplicably drawn to her?

May 21st 2009 - Okay, I fail at updating. But worry not, there are chapters already written which need only editing. I am not a one post wonder. School takes priority for another month and then I'll reappear for serious.

I know that many people felt let down by the fight scene and ending to breaking dawn.  I was one of these readers.  I decide to write my own version.  I think it is a good balance between the happy ending that so many wanted, but the action that was needed.  When I posted this intitally I was only considering a one-shot fight scene.  Once I became aware of the opportunity, I decided to see where else the story might take me...

“This is disturbing indeed,” Marcus stated to no one in particular.  “We have little time to prepare our defenses…  We need to flee.  The only reason you won the last battle is because they did not realize your power.  They will not make the same mistake.  We must find refuge until we can develop a better plan.”
