Bella was left in Forks to put the pieces back together, and continues onto college. Right before she is about to take the Boards she finds herself in Italy, at the mercy of the Volturi. She finds an ally and together they form a plan that may change the relationship between humans and vampires forever. This fic will have a sci-fi-ish twist with some interwoven Christianity =)

Edward leaves Bella for her own safety and tries to forget her. The rest of the Cullens stay behind to protect her and Bella’s friendship with Alice continues. Bella is determined to do what she must to be able to be with Edward again. As Alice searches Edward’s future to find him again, they realize that he does not want to be found.

When Edward meets a mysterious young girl and is faced with the decision of saving her or letting her die, he unknowingly turns her. As a newly turned vampire, Bella is confused and alone, and is searching for the mysterious angel that saved her.

Edward kills Bella in 1940. Then he meets her again some odd 60 years later in Forks, Washington. He and the rest of the Cullens remember her. She does not remember Edward... or does she?

Edward hasn't discovered 'vegetarianism.'   Bella's out alone in the woods and Edward attacks. Alice has had visions of Edward joining the Cullen's for months and has to race to stop him killing the one person that could turn his life around. As Edward helps Bella recover he has to decide the answer to one of the hardest questions he's ever had to ask himself. What is more tempting, her blood or her body?

"Good." He paused, and took a deep breath. "Now, stories, fairy tales if you will, teach you things. They teach you to dream, to experience a world outside of your own. To escape from reality. But, such fantasies must have origins, don't you think? No one person could have such a vivid imagination to create a world so differently than our own. They must have known that some of these tales or elements of them, existed in reality. Us, my family and I, along with many others, are indeed characters from such tales. Monsters in most," he said in disgust. I, personally, couldn't imagine a world where Carlisle or Alice could be classed as monsters; they were too beautiful, too gentle to be worthy of that description. "We are what some call the 'Cold Ones'. Others know us as the 'Danag', the 'Estrie', the 'Upier', 'Varacolaci', 'Nelapsi', 'Stregoni Benefici'. I could go on forever. 90 years ago, Bella and Edward were changed into vampires after a fatal crash. Now, both vampires and wondering what happened to their only loves, they are brought back to Forks to seek out the truth of what really happened.

Here's the final deleted scene from Solstice. This is what Solstice would've ended up as if I had let 'LuvNikkiReed' have her way. She has a major thing for Rosalie/Nikki and in every story she writes, Rose ends up naked with someone. Well, no different here. But in this little twist, she ends up with Lily.

The Cullens move to yet another town and meet a new and somewhat odd girl, she becomes something different for each member of the family: Alice loves her, Edward can't figure her out (but will become obsessed with her non the less), Emmett shares a hidden and forgotten past with her, Esme thinks she's found another daughter, Rosalie is deadly jealous…

But whatever impact she has on any of the Cullens, the impact made on her own life is much greater.

I always wondered what would happen if Edward lost the tight rein on his control. So I wanted to explore deeper into his vampire nature.

In the posted version, most of this chapter was changed because my beta (and I) felt that it didn't really fit with the story.

Originally, the thought was to let Lily be a teenager, and to experiment. Rosalie posed the idea of kissing and in this version, Lily agrees. Ultimately, it distracted from the Lily/Daniel story-line, and caused too many problems for Rosalie and Emmett's relationship. Also, because Rosalie, in this story is a parent-figure to Lily, it caused some role issues. Nevertheless, I think it's worth reading, so here it is!
