My first attempt at fanfic was a one shot from Alice's POV of her thoughts leading up to Edward and Bella's wedding for a fanfic contest.  Alice's has always been my favorite character apart from Edward and Bella themselves, and ever since I wrote that one shot, Alice's chirpy voice has been in the back of my head begging me to write her whole story.  So here it is, Alice's story from the beginning in her own words.

This story was begun before the Illustrated Guide was published, and I have deliberately not read it so that I can write the story that is in MY head.  So, although this was started as an in canon story, it may end up straying from canon slightly as I tell the story as I imagined it.  I hope you'll understand and enjoy it all the same.

Ascension of the Morning Star is a novel-length work that offers an alternative to Breaking Dawn.  The work is represented in two books, Evening Star and Morning Star.  Each book will appear as a separate story on this site.  This is Part I.

In Part I:  Evening Star, we find Bella and Edward preparing for their marriage.  From engagement to wedding night the whirlwind of 55 planning days is a roller coaster of emotion, intrigue,and surprises for everyone. Exploring sexuality & intimacy, will Edward be ready?  As the big day draws nearer, everyone realizes this is a good-bye, but not everyone realizes how true that is...

What if Jacob didn't see Renesmee right after she was born?  What if he and Leah left town together instead?  What if he came back five years later?  What if the first time Jacob sees Renesmee, she looks sixteen, and he doesn't know who she really is? 

This story picks up in Chapter 26 of Breaking Dawn with one small change.  Jacob doesn't imprint on newborn Renesmee.  Instead, he leaves town.  When he finally returns for Charlie's wedding to Sue Clearwater five years later, things are very different between the Cullens and the Wolfpack.  How will Jacob fit in with the Cullen family now, and should we be worried about the Volturi?
