A bio. Let me see...
I'm a more "mature" Twilight addict, living in the suburbs of Chicago. I work hard, play hard, and really only relax lately by writing fanfic. I'm single, a rabid Chicago White Sox fan, a musical mish-mash (including the 80s and classical), and a tomboy - golf being my addiction at present. Vodka martini's, extra dirty, blue cheese olives my vice of choice.
My dream is to meet RPatz and have a smoke with him in a dark alley. Rob, please PM me here when you're in Chicago. I've got just the place...
I also dream of writing a trilogy someday, fiction, but unabashedly romantic, and slightly auto-biographical, about the colorful past of my maternal ancestry. Something with a happy ending. I haven't had mine. Yet.
My fic "Of Swans and Silence" just won the Judges pick for the Darkella's Darkest Temptation Contest held by the genius of the girls over at "The Temptation of the Naughty Muses", a combined effort of The Twilight Muses, Jasper's Naughty Girls, and Darkest Temptations. (If you're into everything Jasper, or everything naughty, or both, you should check these ladies out.) To say I was shocked would be the largest of understatements. It was my first-ever contest. The fic is not for everyone, though, and I highly suggest if you're not over 18, or if you're my mother, that you DO NOT read it. It's over at ff.net, but I will be posting it here just as soon as possible.
"Second Chances" is my first endeavor into fanfic, and my baby. Charlie is the reason I started writing, this fic being born out of the need to give him his due. His opportunity. It is a labor of love and continues.
"I Will Love You" won the "Pop My Cherry" contest, an idea for a fic that I'd requested from my stellar mentor, fngrcufs, who promptly turned around and told me to write it myself - more eloquently and diplomatic than that, however. (Please do go read her stuff on ff.net. The Story of Us will make you weep. I did.) It is posted over at ff.net as well.
Finally, if you'll allow, I want to just give a permanent shout-out here to my superb friend, Alexis Danaan. If it weren't for her, Second Chances would never have been posted.
Feel free to follow me on Twitter: (at)EdwardsChipper, although if you're not into foul-language, general perviness, or the occasional song lyric, follow at your own risk.
Thanks to the superbly talented FrozenSoldier for the absolutely perfect banner.
She happens to be stuck on the side of the road, car engine smoking. He happens to be driving back from a conference. Can an accidental meeting really mean a second chance at happiness? Or . . . not?
"I . . . I'm waiting for someone. He should be here shortly." Dammit Catherine, you have to do better than that.
"He went to, uh, go to the bathroom." Stupid. I tried to figure out if I could make it past him. I wondered how long it would be before I would see anyone else on the trail. He didn't look very big, maybe my height. I think I could get around him if I faked him to the right and then went left . . .
"No. I don't believe he did."
"Yes, he's just over . . ."
He was a mere step in front of me before I finished my blink. "No, you're traveling alone. Not very prudent. You never know who you might meet . . . in a place like this."
His hand reached out to caress my face. I couldn't move. I should've jumped his hand was so cold, but I didn't, as he brought it across my cheek, down across my jawbone, stopping on my neck. I could feel his breath as he leaned in and whispered,
"I'll be waiting for you."
Note: While this is first and foremost a love story, it contains dark themes, language, and some lemons. If you are sensitive to rape or sexual assault, I suggest you do not not read.
Thanks to Alexis Danaan for her rib-cracking wit, superhuman writing skills, general greatness, and for keeping an old, I mean more mature, chick writing.
Thanks to my pal Megan, the rabid Twins fan, for her editing prowess, secret workplace meetings to discuss, um, work, and for not blushing when talking about . . . well, you'll see.
And to my Bossman, who as a male familiar with Twilight, lied and said he wanted to read this, and for enduring all of the lovey-dovey shit.
A thousand thank yous to all who voted for this little fic, and to the judges for a fantabulous contest.

To most, Bella Swan is the image of the quintessential businesswoman. But buried deep behind a thick skin and designer clothes, she hides secrets both inside and outside the office. Until she loses a promotion, and gets a new boss.

If you're not 18+, please move on to another fic.
