Summary: 
Drinking only the blood of animals, Edward Masen fought to keep his humanity in an existence that always craved death and human blood. But after ten years of suppressing the monster that rules his instincts, Edward believes that you can't hold on to what you don't have. As he struggles with his ideals over right and wrong, Edward must decide if his humanity is a fair price to pay for a decent meal.
This story covers Edward's "rebellious years" when he left Carlisle to prey on humans. But only the bad ones, so it's okay.......he thinks.
