I started reading fanfic just over a year ago when a stress fracture had me off my feet and in front of the computer much more than usual. It’s been an eye-opening and deeply satisfying experience. Sebastien Robichaud, Snowqueens Icedragon, WriteOnTime, tarasueme, WndrngY, hunterhunting and so many others: I’ve enjoyed your stories more than I can say.
About me, if for some strange reason you're interested: I'm a freelance writer with a husband, two kids, a golden retriever, a laptop, a mortgage, and a partridge in a pear tree. Or something like that.
I tweet occasionally, @writingbabe, and have been known to hang out on the Twilighted website's University of Edward Masen thread. The Ladies of the Thread, like the story that brought us together, are amazing.
Another fun fact: I once won an office competition dubbed the Nerd Olympics. That's right, I'm a gold medal-winning dork. Does that make me an award-winning writer? *looks to chair judge, who shakes his head* Yeah, didn't think so.
I'd tell you more, but I'm just not that interesting.
Update: Release won two awards in the Beyond the Pale Contest: a judge's Cherry Popper Award and Best Use of Photo Prompt. I'm thrilled and honored. Thanks to all of the kind judges for my lovely new banner!
Exciting news: Release has been nominated for the Sparkleteers' Rare Gem Awards in two categories: Most Surprising Plot Twist/Diamond in the Rough; and The Flawless Pearl/Up and Comer Award. Voting is open through December 1. You can vote daily. Please look at all the amazing stories out there and cast your votes at: http://thesparkleteerawards (dot) blogspot (dot) com
