Hey, my name is Maria. I came to the Twilight thing late, just around Easter time when my 11 year old granddaughter wanted the Twilight movie in her Easter Basket. The rest is, of course, history. The Twilight thing weaves a spell on you, sucking (no pun intended) you into the story, making you a part of it.
My original story is 'Best of Times' post eclipse.

I am a Twilight mom. I am 52 years old. I have a BS in Natural Health but I work in a childcare center with two and three year olds. It's the best job in the world. I work at a great facility with a wonderful staff and it's just a great company to work for.
When I found this site I was hooked. I thought how cool it would be if I could channel a real author and write a story to be posted. And then I began to think about it. Nonstop. 25 hours a day. Dreamed about it and wouldn't shutup until I drove my poor husband mad.

As I read the Twilight series, I always wondered where that line was that defined ‘control’ vs. ‘loss of control’ for Edward...
This is a 'what if' story.
Are you ready?
What if Edward were not quite so controlled? What if he succumbs to the stresses of leaving Bella, thinking she was dead, almost losing it all at the hands of the Volturi, watching Bella fall in love with Jacob Black, to the final stressor: Victoria and her ruthless band of new vampires, all with just one thing in mind.
To kill Bella Swan.
What if Edward, on his way to Bella, runs across an accident victim lying, bleeding in the forest? What if, despite his best intentions, he is overcome by the blood and feeds?
And what if that human blood releases the monster from his bindings, the monster that has wanted Bella all along, the monster that urges Edward to 'access his inner vampire?'

Our happy couple are in for a rough couple of weeks. Their wedding is scheduled in just fourteen days, but fate has thrown a monkeywrench into their plans. Edward feeds, but in the euphoria after that feeding, doesn't realize his true vampire nature has been released. And it is pissed at being held captive for so long, being forced to survive on the blood of stinking deer.
Bella is in real danger, but she doesn't know it, and neither does Edward. This story is about our two favorite individuals in the whole world, and the problems they face as they try to make it to the wedding.
This is my first attempt at fanfiction. Chapter 1-19 have been rewritten and appear in a separate story, Two Faces Have I.
No major characters die in this story. And it will be finished, I promise. But this is my one and only story on this site. There won't be another one after this. I hope you'll come along for the journey, and that you enjoy my thoughts along the way!

Summary:
We all believe that Edward and Bella are meant to be together...but what if there’s more to that than meets the eye?
What if there are forces at work that they don’t understand? How will they cope with events that have no discernable meaning?
This story starts out two weeks before Bella and Edward’s wedding. But, right away, things go wrong. They struggle with mishap after mishap, all the while wondering if they’re destined to be at the center of conflict and angst.
All the major characters of Twilight appear. Canon couples. Lemons in various chapters. This is a more realistic view of Edward and Bella’s relationship before the wedding. He certainly wouldn’t carry her off to a desert island alone, having never even touched her. They would have experimented a bit.
Eventually all characters get their Happily Ever After. I just drag them through hell before we get there. No characters die before their time.
And I’ve adhered to canon up until the story starts—Post Eclipse. After that, it diverges from SM’s version. So...no Renesmee. No pregnancy.
I’ve poured my heart and soul into this story. It took me over a year to complete. I thought about it constantly. For that hard work and diligence to form, grammar and style, I’d like just one tiny thing from you, the reader.
I’d like a review. If you love it, if you hate it, if you’re just indifferent and will never look at it again, I’d like to hear that. It’s not a lot to ask. So...I’ll say thanks in advance for the wonderful reviews you’ll leave after you read each chapter!
