I'm a 20-something Australian university student and am a fan of the entire Twilight franchise (although I am loathe to admit this in public). My preference is for stories that revolve around alternate Twilight storylines, all of the 'what if' stories, such as Seducing Ms Swan - what if Edward never came back, and When It All Falls Down - what if the Volturi rather than Edward came back.
I'm a stickler for spelling and at least half decent grammar so as you can imagine the original books which are littered with mistakes (despite my later editions) and the stories posted here do annoy me a little. Thankfully the creative plots are enough to keep me happy.

Summary: Since the fall of the Romanian Empire over 2,500 years ago, the Volturi have ruled the vampire world with next to no opposition. During this time their power has swelled and the three brothers who lead the Volturi have become consumed by greed, increasingly digressing from their professed mission to keep vampires and the secret of their existence safe. Some among the vampire community have become tired of the Volturi and wish to return the world to the way it was… the balance of power is about to permanently shift.

Think Twilight, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn with a twist. I've taken key plot elements from those books, strung them together with some minor changes, and added a threat against the Volturi to lurk behind the scenes. All of that twists and turns its way to the introduction of my original characters and a showdown with the Volturi.
Look out for: a totally creepy James, a delve into Edward's rebellious phase, a revelation about Alice's past, and a tiny dip into the subconscious of Esme the battered wife.

Summary: The Cullens have to wait for a thunderstorm before they can play baseball. The thunder helps with one of the logistical requirements allowing them to play and disguising the sounds of their hits and collisions. But the real question is: how do they know Edward actually caught the ball?
