I am currently a full time student in a Master of Arts in Teaching program. Last year I (finally) finished up my BA in both Fine Arts and English Literature, and I figured, what better way to use that degree than to teach? So here I am beating my head against the wall as I complete my student teaching hours with a rowdy (but lovely) bunch of 10-12 grade English students.
My first true love is pottery, and I have been a studio potter for the past almost twelve years. This writing thing has sprung up almost by complete accident. Although I suppose you could consider my brain to be like a pressure cooker: you cram enough Charles Dickens (LOVE him) and George Eliot in and eventually something has to start leaking out. Which would probably explain my obsession with characterization and broad scope. Sigh.
