This is the banner for Cullenary Coupling - designed by Mizra:

Cullenary Coupling - What if Edward lied to everyone about that whole being in love at first sight with Bella business? And then kinda sorta accidentally did fall in love with her much against his will, this not-so-dull-after-all-human girl? The story is told out of sequence, begins about 3/4 ths of the way through, and initially comes across as very canon-esque. Please don't be fooled into thinking this is a post Eclipse/ pre-BD clone.

The first several chapters serve as a shell to uncover the back story which is an alternate MS/Twilight Saga from EPOV using a completely different plot, as to howwhy, and when Edward and Bella fell in love. I will not be recreating the exact events from the saga because we've all read them over and over and over (and many have done them far, far better than I ever could).

What I will do in this story is address many of the themes that I found curious in the Twilight Saga: why does Edward hate himself and given that, how did he fall in love with Bella in the first place? What about that whole pesky, 'do you lose your soul when you become a vampire' issue? What is so special about Bella Swan? What motivates Bella to want to sacrifice everything to become a vampire - you know friends, family, possibly all her memories? Why does Bella love him - yet still fear he's going to leave her deep down inside? How does a nice girl like Bella Swan fall in love with a reformed mass murderer? How does a reformed mass murderer tell a nice girl like Bella Swan that he is, in fact, a reformed mass murderer? What is behind that whole stalking/courting routine of Edward's?

I have a different story to tell.

What is behind the sexual dynamic of her being the aggressor and him constantly vigilantly refusing to change their physical boundaries? Why did they even agree to get married? Stench issues aside: What was behind the hostility between the wolves and the vampires? And the Cullens - how are they taking this whole Edward/human pairing? Jacob is not a love interest in this story, so what is his deal, and why won't he leave Bella in peace?

I should warn you I have a sick sense of humor, and adore torturing Mike Newton (who is not a bad guy in this story) as many ways with humiliating situations as I can envision. Jacob, too. Charlie Swan as well. Also, I think Tanya is much more fun when she's tempting other people besides Edward, although she really is perturbed that he's just not that into her. Everyone else is. Or has been. clears throat

As shown in the back story, CC Edward is dark, snarky, and unapologetic about both.

The story of their romance is a mystery, a comedy, with some dark angst as well.

Cullenary Coupling has a thread on Twilighted(dot)net - please stop by and say hello. I don't bite. Much.

I am a serious nerd. I love reading stories from all genres. Although I have always enjoyed writing, I've never tried my hand at fiction until now. I have a twisted sense of humor, so like to bring that to my writing. Cullenary Coupling is my first fanfiction which I've made, I suspect, the world's most complicated plot purely for entertainment and self-torture purposes. Aside from that, I'm dreadfully boring.

Correct Banner

What if in the beginning Edward lied to everyone about being in love with Bella? What if originally it actually was all about Bella's scent? And what would happen then if accidentally, much against his will, Edward kind of sort of fell head over heels in love with this not-so-dull human girl?

This is an AU of the Twilight Saga using an entirely different plot as to how, why, and when Edward and Bella fell in love. It offers a different explanation for what was so special about Bella Swan, why Edward vigilantly enforced those physical boundaries, why there's tension between the Cullens and the wolves, and why Edward behaved the way he did not only with Bella but with his family. Expect romance, mystery, angst, and humor. Dark Edward.

Canon Pairings, No BxExJ, OOC.

This story is rated NC-17 because of occasional naughty language, violence (or implied violence) against humans, vampires, werewolves, animals, insects, minding-their-own-business-pajamas, entities, books, coffee tables, leather recliners, bridges, sword ferns, shrubs, rocks, and worst of all....trees. It is also rated NC-17 due to excessive snarkiness by Edward, references to underage drinking, practical jokes and/or enthusiastic tormenting of secondary characters particularly Mike Newton, Jacob Black, and Charles Swan. It also is rated NC-17 due to sexual content.

Thanks to Mizra for the banners.

Banner 1

There is more to Marcus' Mother than meets the eye. This is her story, and also explains how she came to meet Bella for the first time. Also, the two strike a secret bargain. But does Bella really undestand what she has agreed to? This one-shot explains an element of Chapter 63 of Cullenary Coupling from the POV of Marcus' Mother.

This story is rated R for references to battle and violence.
