WHY I'M NOT UPDATING: This explanation is long overdue. Back in the spring 2012, my school got so demanding that whenever I finally had some time to myself, writing even more was not on the top of my list, I simply could not gather my thoughts around it. Then came my exams - 9 in total, so that kind of explains itself, I would say. But then, just as my exams were over and I actually started a little writing, everything in my life got turned upside down in the most horrible way. As I've mention in the A/N to chapter 3 of ATBUD, we've had some issues with drugs in my family. My youngest brother has had some problems, it all came to a very unpleasant end by the end of June, where he was found dead in his apartment, 23 years old. Everything stopped. Everything... I'm still struggling with it, trying to have a normal day to day life, but the truth is that this isn't something that will heal itself just like that. It's gonna take time. So yeah... that is my reasons why. And it's some very valid ones if I have to say so myself. Believe me (!!!) I would MUCH rather that all this hadn't happened. I still think of my stories, and I have written something, but it's a veeerrrryyy slow process. Please forgive me - and know that I AM going to finish these stories, it really means a lot to me to be able to say I finished both of them. Just be patient with me. :) -Maria

I love reading, books as well as FF's, and are now trying to write some as well... (bites nails)
Otherwise it's movies/theater/music/photos that have my fascination.
I'm a BIG family-person, my family has come to mean everything to me after the early death of my parents. (13 years ago)
Other than that, you'll be able to find traces of who I am in my stories. =)
I've chosen for As They Break Us Down to take place in NYC because it's the only city in US I truly know, having been there, and I absolutely love the city - and it makes for a great playground for "my" characters.
