Hello all! I'm newish to this site. I've been reading stories here for awhile but was recently inspired to write my own. I hope you like it!

About me - I'm a college grad (Class of '09 baby!) & I work full time at a doctor's office. I love to read & listen to music ... usually at the same time. I love my car. It's my baby. I've become the cliche - living in my parent's basement - but student loan companies drain the green out of my bank account.

I think that's all.

Oh yeah! Read my story! I hear it's really good! (I'm not biased or anything! Lol!)

Breathe Again by Ysar Rated: R starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 5437]
Summary: Feature

You know those fics where Edward doesn't come back and Bella forgets about him and five seconds later she's in bed with Jacob and none of it makes any damn sense?
Yeah, this isn't one of them.

This story picks up from the moment in New Moon when Jacob has driven Bella home after the cliff diving incident, right before he catches the scent of Alice. Only in this telling, Alice wasn't looking, so there's no sudden appearance at Bella's house, no Rosalie calling Edward and sending him on a suicidal mission to Volterra, and no reason for Bella to do anything but believe that Edward didn't love her anymore. This is simply a story of what might have happened if everyone stayed mostly in character and Edward's return was delayed. Yes, delayed. Because we all know that he was "this close" to coming back on his own anyhow.
So what would have happened if Bella had tried to move on with her life?  Would she have found happiness with Jacob?  And would Edward be too late?

* First in a series of stories

~I thought of Jacob’s warm arms wrapped around me, his infectious laughter, and his ability to keep me from falling to pieces again… The pain choking my heart relaxed and I could breathe.~

~“More than anything,” I whispered, not caring what I'd just agreed to. When it came to Bella, it didn't matter what the question was. I just wanted.~

I like different points of view. It makes it more interesting because without it I think the reader would constantly be wondering what the other point of view is. Also, it'll fit better with the format you've already chosen. Finally, at the end of the next chaper could you include info on the summer part & the sequel (name, etc.). Thanks. PS: I love this story!

I just wanted to say that I love this story & am so glad that Edward isn't a part of it yet.  I'm not a fan of his.  & the way you imprinted Quil & Claire ... that was genius!

Author's Response:

I am writing as fast as I can. Thanks so much.  Here's a preview for you:

Paul fought the urge to start a fight before any of the action began. He didn't like this Tyler guy, and the fact that he messed with his best friend made him fume. He would enjoy this game tonight. He didn't care if he hurt anyone. He just needed one good shot at the pretty boy, but as much as he wanted that shot, he quickly decided that he would give those to Jake. He would block the ** out of everyone just so Jake could get a clean, hard shot at Tyler.
