I am glad that the boys let Chad have it! It was really good that they confronted the dweeb together!
I am glad that this chapter included Bella's presentation. That was well done. We didn't have to know everything about the entire seminar, so just getting in when Edward did for questions was great!
Poor little guy! I think I would have been upset at that too if my grandpa ate a fish that I caught!
Good job! Next time we will hear about the night on the town in Vegas! All right!!! Maybe there will be a wedding before it is over....?

Author's Response: Thanks again for all your reviews! You picked a good time to start since I've apparently been driving people crazy, making them wait for months for that kiss. In the story, everything through chapter 12 happened over only 3 weeks, so it wasn't that long...but for readers, that dragged on for months!

Max reminds me a lot of Edward's son Anthony in the story "Confessions of a Not So Teenaged Nanny" by Hazelnut4o6, also on Twilighted. He is also 3 and has an older sister. You might like to check out that story. Do you care to guess who the NANNY is???

Yeah, Jake's purpose in this story is basically to show that Bella had options if she'd wanted them, but she refused to settle--she took a bad situation and made a success of herself. And when she finally decides to allow a guy into her life, it's because she wants him there, not because she needs someone to take care of her.

I like to think that canon Charlie was only as indifferent as he was because he never really had to play "parent" full time so it was awkward to drop a nearly legal adult girl into his life. This is how I want to think he'd have been had Bella been closer growing up, had seen her more often.

Beautiful! Like Mike, I hope Jake is out of their lives, too. But he can be pretty persistant.
I loved Bella's recognition of them as a family. They will be getting married soon, I think!!
Charlie is too cool. He gets along with Edward, let's Bella know he is fine with things as they are, then makes sure without a word that they know they will NOT be together overnight! Go Charlie!
Billy Burke is Perfect as Charlie! I don't think anyone esle would have done as well.

I really wanted to recognize just how far the relationship progressed on her own without active prompting from someone else--she needed to see that they've naturally formed this family unit without someone else pushing her in that direction.
And Charlie,yep he may approve but he still has his limits! LOL! And I agree--BB does a pretty good job... it'd be too easy when playing such a quiet character to come off as aloof and distant but he nails that whole quiet but caring thing.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm hoping there isn't too much of a delay for the next update--it's already with the first beta but I leave in the morning for a conference for 5 days. Between getting ready to go today and taking a day or two to catch up when I get back, it's essentially cutting out a week's worth of potential writing time. Although I did have a productive weekend, so it should even out.

How sweet! Viewing the fireworks from the boat was perfect! E & B are so perfect for each other!
I love how Esme and Carlisle loved B & Max right off the bat!! The evening that he spent with them with movies and popcorn had to have been a riot!
I love it when Max giggles! I can just see that in my mind and it is just too precious!!

Author's Response: The boat thing has been in my head for SO long. Seemed like the whole atmosphere could be super-romantic without being manufactured--worked perfectly with my avoidance of grand gestures.
C&E in their PJs with Max--just more of the puzzle pieces falling into place showing this whole family forming without conscious effort.
Sent the next chapter off to first beta yesterday, so there shouldn't be too long of a wait!
