I am an 21 year old student and I love the Twilight books as well as the movies. I also love many other books, such as the classics.

Summary: 
It's 1941, and Bella Swan lives in the US territory of Hawaii with her father, Admiral Charlie Swan. Bella and Edward Cullen grew up together and were best friends until a falling out when they were 12. Now both 18, Edward and Bella come back together after realizing their intense attraction and feelings for each other. Just as their passions are coming to fruition, tragedy strikes and the United States is thrust into World War II. Edward, already bound for the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, is duty-bound to fight and defend his country.
Will Edward and Bella's love be enough to see them through one of the most trying times in history?

This was a great chapter!
Things seem to be getting better for Bella and Edward. Hopefully they will stay that way and they can move forward. Their first date was wonderful. =) I have a feeling they mat have another one.
I hope that Jasper will be ok. Alice will be heartbroken if something bad happens to him.
Looking forward to your next update! Author's Response: Yep, they're definitely getting better, slowly but surely. I'm not sure they'll ever be free of what happened to both of them, but they're dealing with it now and trying to get to know each other again.

You are such a good writer! Whenever I read this, I feel like I am in 1942.
I trust that Edward will show and he and Bella will get married, so I won't be mad. I'll wait for the next chapter to make a decision. ;) But really, I don't think that you build up all of this sadness and loneliness between Bella and Edward just to have him injured, killed or not showing up.

Edward lost it...Well, it happens. Edward just let his emotions get the better of him and that's not a bad thing. He thought that he was going to lose Bella because of the scumbag.
I can't wait for your next chapter! Please update soon? Author's Response: Yes, it was definitely a matter of Edward losing control of his emotions when Bella was threatened. But Edward's been a pretty sweet, gentle guy up until that incident. That's all I'm saying :)

Another excellent chapter. :) I loved everything about it. I want to give a detailed review of the entire chapter, but my brain is warped from studying and I'm afraid I'll look like an idiot, so I'll just say that this entire chapter was excellent. :)

Excellent chapter!
I have very bad feeling about James. I wonder what he did to make Edward so...tense around him.
I can understand why Bella acted the way she did. I would want my husband with me if he was working all of the time. However, I can understand that if Edward can talk to Jane, then I know that he would talk to her. However, I still think that Edward should have been with Bella on her birthday. But like they said, they are both learning.
Looking forward to your next chapter! Author's Response: Bella's reaction to seeing Edward with Jane was a result of her her insecurity. Edward is not around to reassure her, so doubt starts to creep iin. These por kids are having such a hard time, but you're right, it's a learning process. Had there been no war, they would have had time to be together and adjust to being a couple before getting married and living together.

My first job was working at a movie theater. :/ It didn't go too well....I got burned by the popcorn maker. Author's Response: You can wish for Edward's safe return every chapter, I promise I won't get annoyed or angry. We all miss him and it sucks that he has to be gone. BUT, it was the only way for Bella to stand on her own and be the person she wanted to be before Charlie died.
Working those concession stands at the theater looks like really hard work. On your feet all night, slinging popcorn and soda, getting burned by the machines :(

I loved everything about it!
It was so sad about Victoria and Mrs. Cope, as well as Charlotte. For a moment, I was upset at Bella for thinking that Edward might have cheated on her, but I sort of understand. At least she remembered that he told her he would want only her. Hopefully, she will continue to believe it.

Don't be too upset with Bella. Edward's been gone a long time with literally no word. It's natural for her mind to go to unpleasant places. Also remember that she's still only 19 and has no relationship experience outside of Edward. She inherently trust him, but she's sad and lonely without him so I think her mind going there is normal.
Hell, I think my mind would go there if my husband was gone for that long. God forbid. I think she's doing better than I would.

I'm glad that nothing too bad happened with James. When he was sitting in her house, I was afraid something was going to happen, but I'm glad it didn't. Even though James is a little creepy, I feel so bad for him for what he went through.
I really hope that Edward is going to be ok, but if he doesn't make it, then it will destroy a lot of lives.

As for James, I wanted to show that the world exists in shades of gray. He's creepy and misguided, but not evil. I'm pleased that you felt for him, he really isn't a bad guy.

Excellent work on this chapter, btw! Author's Response: There are a myriad of reasons why Edward is behaving the way he is, but guilt over the Tanya situation was eating away at him. So it was a big step forward that he told her, and that she didn't allow him to wallow in guilt.
They have a long road ahead of them, but they're talking now, which is the most important thing.

Seeing Bella and Edward in the next step of their lives was a wonderful addition. Seeing Bella as a mom and Edward as a father was so great to see. I hope this is the end of Tanya. She is getting on my nerves...Big time.
You wrote Jasper's reaction great! I loved the idea about the venom bond. Very cool. It makes a lot of sense how they would bond through venom and be protective in that sense.
Bella's power is very cool, glitches and all. =) I can't wait to see if there is more to it.
I think Edward's gift is something for the bedroom....That's the only thing I can come up with on why he wouldn't Emmett to see it, but I could be wrong.

I have a feeling that Bella is not done with Tanya yet.
Bella's power is cool! My guess is it was dormant and all the anger she feels toward Tanya brought it out. Hopefully Tanya will learn her lesson now.
The Cullen will be furious with Bella and Edward but I think that they will get over it after they tell them that they are going to have another one after school is over. (I hope I remembered that right.)
