I live in Australia and it is as sunny here as much as it rains in Forks so highly unlikely any of SM's vampires will come for a visit!
I am a mum of 2 teenage boys who keep me busy as a taxi service and personal banker and I work in the financial services area - no wonder I read so much fanfic!!!
I am very much Team Edward!! - Jake is just way too young.. plus I am allergic to dogs.. I only became aware of Twilight a few months ago when my son's 13yr old girlfriend came over with her Twilight DVD. I wasn't completely hooked at the time but then saw the books in the library and fell in love with Edward by the time I got to Eclipse. Like most, wasn't big on BD but loving all the alternate ending fics I found here...
Started fooling around with my story Scent of a Woman just for fun and decided about Chapter 3 that I might get a beta to improve my writing and then I submitted it. Now I can't stop..... is there a psychiatrist out there who specialises in twific obsession, anyone?

I find the time that Edward left Carlisle and Esme completely facsinating and based my own fic around that time - thank goodness SM set the framework and left so much blank space for us to play around in. Summary: 
*Takes place during New Moon in an alternate universe.
On March 16, 2006, the World changed, and everything and anything that the Cullens ever cared about was lost. They had to find their own way in this New World. Edward never wished to exist in a world where Bella didn't. Unfortunately, his family desperately needed him, so he'd stay to help them. And by doing so, he hoped to redeem himself for his failure to save the one creature he couldn't protect.
With rumours in the South of humans feeding off the living and stealing people from their beds, the Cullens have a responsibility to protect the ones they can from those monsters in the night. This was Edward's last chance to fight for his soul and his salvation. He would finally be ready to face Judgement day and be deemed worthy enough to be with Bella once again. Or would something or someone change the path he was destined to go down? Faith, hope and love are powerful things, and Edward is about to find out just how powerful they are.
Yes... this is the story that is set during a post-apocalyptic nuclear war. Just try the Prologue to get a feel for it before passing judgment. You might be surprised. Warning: There is violence and disturbing images the further the story goes along.

Title: Chapter 23: Faint Heart Never Won Fair Lady
This is my favourite story on the twilighted site, and this chapter has been well worth the wait for Edward and Bella to finally see each other, after 10 years apart. As Abe Lincoln said, "Good things come to those who wait." (couldn't resist - I love your qotes in the chapter headings).
I love the way that you have written this chapter with Bella not caving to Edward and his wandering hands and mouth (I would so cave!) minutes after they see each other. I alway thought in the NM book that Bella took Edward back into her life way too easily. I love a bit of angst as I think it builds stronger feelings for each other to have to fight for what you want.
Love that Edward told Bella that he would always love her and would be by her side even though he thought Bella and Garrett were lovers. So proud of him!!
Garrett tellling Bella that Edward owns her soul. I am liking him more and more.
Bella telling Edward - its always been you. Sigh...
Can't wait for the next chapter - hoping that Edward will take Bella back to Forks eventually and then the family coming clean about being vampires.

Title: Chapter 20: Christmas with the Cullens
Loved it, of course. Oh oh wonder what James has been doing since he found the photo. Love the personal Christmas decorations, our family does the same thing but they are handmade by the kids with glitter etc. Looking forward to the next chaper.

Hey Sarah,
Lovely Christmas Story.
I just bought some candy canes to hang on the tree. Will have to make sure I keep at least one aside to try in the hot chocolate. I do live in Australia though and Christmas Day will be about 32degrees so might have to hide the candy cane until our winter in July...
I liked the interaction with Renee, Phil and Bella - and the discussion about moving. Tough for Renee. I am already stressing about my kids just going to their Dad's for a few days at Christmas.

The candy canes in the hot chocolate was something my mother always did...sooo good. I would definitely hide them for July...it's totally worth it on a nice, chilly day.
I do hope you check out some of my other work...it's mostly one-shots now, but I do have a nearly complete multi-chapter story that's been well-received, and a few ideas I'm going to be working on in the next month or so.

Title: Chapter 3: Suprise Visit
Sigh. I feel so sad for Edward but its true, no one deserves to be alone for the rest of their lives and his will be very long. Rosalie as always seems very irrational with her hatred of women that Edward is drawn to...is there some residual hurt still there that he wasn't interested in her maybe??? At the end of the chapter at least he thought about it momentarily..its a start. Great chapter.

Loved loved loved this chapter. So much pain and suffering for Edward and the rest of the family. I'm happy that Jake is with Nessie (lol I've never said that before) so there won't be another triangle involving Edward and Jake. Great twist that her scent is even more overpowering than Bella's. Look forward to reading more.
