This story is now COMPLETE!
Dark Side of the Moon is my version of New Moon from Edward’s point of view. Witness how Edward agonized over leaving Bella, hunted for Victoria, faced the Volturi, and came to realize that with Bella was where he was meant to be.
This tormented story has been a part of my life for about a year and a half – and what a ride it’s been! Meant to be canon and in character, I hope you enjoy angsty Edward and his suffering during New Moon. As unhappy as Bella was during this time, Edward suffered so much more (I think). So be sure and crack open a fresh box of tissues before reading!
Thank you to everyone for all the reviews, especially to those of you who reviewed each and every chapter! Your support and loyalty have been the driving force to me getting this project finished – and I hope it’s lived up to all of your expectations.

This was a great chapter, answered a few questions, created a ton of other questions...like....
Is Bella going to break Jacobs heart, again, before she realizes he is the one for her?
WHAT THE HELL EDWARD? Who are you to get mad at Jacob for taking Bella to his house and not back to her house? To the point of going ballistic? So Edward:(
WAY TO GO JAKE for keeping his cool when he spoke with Edward, looking out for what was best for his friends and much to his own pain, explaining to Bella that Edward still loves her and if he has to, he will give up his own happiness, if Bella chooses Edward. God I love Jake in this story.

Title: Chapter 18: Scarring
Your story is so good, I'm too impatient, I want to know whats going to happen right now! I hate waiting. With some of the other stories that I'm reading I don't mind the wait, but with yours, it's killing me!
In your story Edward just pisses me off! Don't get me wrong I love both Edward and Jacob. It depends on the story I'm reading as to whether I want bella to end up with Edward or Jacob. In this story I want it to be Jacob. But I guess we will see.

I just have to ask: You say that in some stories you're pro-Edward (and I'm the exact same way), but in this one you are not. Do you think that my portrayal of him is innacurate or skewed and that's why you don't like him, or is it the circumstances of the story? I'm not asking because I'm offended, I'm just curious for writing purposes. Because the only thing that's different in the circumstances of this story (so far) from the circumstances in SM's series is that Edward's return to Forks is much later and not accidental. So, were you pro-Edward for the real Twilight series? Or, possibly, do you think your preference in this story is effected by Bella's perspective and growth? Again, just curious. :)

I just re-read your story and love it. I hate that Edward is back, Jacob is perfect in this story. I can't wait to see what happens, I so hope this is a Jacob/Bella happy ending kinda story, but will wait and see! Update soon please! Author's Response: My story's worth a re-read? Fantastic! Though, I suppose part of that is due to the freakishly long breaks between chapters. You almost HAVE to re-read it, if you want to stay with the flow. I fail in this respect. :(

Title: Chapter 15: Returns
I liked your characterization of Edward. I was glad to see Bella focusing on Jacob more than Edward. Trying to get away from Edward to go to Jacob. I hope Jacob saw that also. I don't really understand his treatment of Bella when he took her home, I'm sure he's just worried that Bella will hurt him again?...I loved Leah telling Edward to Fuck off, she's a classic bad ass, I feel bad that she is always so tormented but I love her tell it like it is attitude! I hope you have something good for her in the future of this story. Author's Response: As far as Jacob's behavior goes, I think he may have been panicking at little. He doesn't know how Bella will react to Edward, but he knows it'll be bad. Also, he was very close to losing control and phasing, and he was focusing on making sure she was safe.
Yes, Leah is THE badass, and we'll love her dearly for it. Oh, tormented souls abound! ;) Definately more of her to come.

Interesting......so many questions...... why, now, does Bella's blood kill Vampires? The Black mark is the mark of the devil? What the hell (pune intended) does he want with Bella?.....why the hell can't Felicity tell us more? LOL I'm so confused....I can't wait to find out what the heck all this means!
Why isn't anyone wondering about Bella transporting herself places?

Why can't Felicity tell you more? Didn't you hear her say that it's because dreams are only shadows and echoes? I think that was pretty clear and in no way vague. ;D
I said this alot after last chapter, but it's still true for this one: the confusion is meant to be felt painfully for the moment. Next chapter character are gonna get together and discuss stuff for legit, so that should be much more helpful than anything Flecity teases us with.
Yeah, we'll have to see how Bella reacts to Edward impromptu confession. Personally, I'm really excited to see how that turns out.

Title: Chapter 24: Leah's Advice
You write the best Leah in any of the stories I've read on this site. I absolutely love her! If you can get more Leah in your story more please do, she certainly steels the chapters she’s in, even if it’s just one line. This chapter I just can’t even decide which line I liked the best! I loved the whole vagina references! But then when she called Edward a “that presumptuous little bastard of a cocker spaniel” I lost it! OMG to too funny!

Title: Chapter 28: His Hand
Thank God she's taking Jacob! How can people hate Jake in this story. He's the only one who has really been there for Bella through this whole thing! Oh well to each their own. It's so fun to be getting all the answers to all the questions. Once the story is completely finished it will be fun to re-read it all the way trough with no stops!

Dixie Author's Response: Well, I don't think it's really about hating Jacob in THIS story, I think some people just go into every fic they read with the attitude that Jake is the bad guy, which is kind of sad and sucks for authors who work a lot on developing his character.

OMFG that was the 2nd best chapter yet (the Leah and Bella Jakes an ass chapter being the best)!!!!!! I laught until I had tears in my eyes! I love Leah, Embry and Quil, OMG he's just a hoot! Leah's the best “It smells like a unicorn shitted cupcakes in here.” How do you come up with this stuff? You are just so funny!!!!!
I loved Bella telling Rose to bite her! lol And what's the deal on Leopold wanting to cut everyones thumbs off, Jeasus that started me laughing and I can't stop. Even edward got in a little snip at Jakes expence! I loved Jakes last line!!! “Oh yeah,” Jacob chuckled darkly “we’re definitely doing this tonight.”

What the hell was the secret exchange between Jake and Edward? You can't put something like that in the chapter and not explain it. Edward never looks awed at Jacob. This story is so damn good, I can’t wait for the big fight and to see how you resolve everything!

Author's Response: Believe me, I was devistated too while writing it. I love Jacob. :( That's okay. I don't think anyone really likes me right now. I've noticed that in fanfic readers tend to more closely associate the actions of a character with the actions of the author than they would with a book bought in a store. I guess it's the trade off for getting to talk to you guys whenever I want. :)

Title: Chapter 32: The Beginning
This chapter was hard to read. I love your Bella and I loved your Jacob. I agree with your A/N in that many readers viewed Bella only as a part of either Jacob or Edward. I didn't see Bella as an extention of Jacob in this story, I think you wrote her very solid she stood on her own merit. I wont lie, it's killing me that Jacob had to die in this story, I'm glad she is pregnant with his child......... atleast she has that
I can't wait for the epiloge. I have one question....If Bella can live forever will her child (which I'm assuming will be a girl also) be able to with her?
Take care, Dixie Author's Response: Yes, while I think it's great to have a ship (I was entirely Team Jacob during the series), I think it's unfortunate that Bella is always thought of in a pairing of some sort and doesn't garner much support on her own.
I'm happy that the fact she's pregnant mollifies you some what. I think it's great that she still has a piece of Jacob with her, too. :)
I'm actually not revealing the the gender of the child yet, so save that question for the epilogue.
