It is amazing how quickly life can resume normalcy after a traumatic event. It's not that the inhabitants of the scenario don't know they are rebounding, but the force of the universe pulls them back into its patterns without their consent. Everything will not be the same, but the normal routine is enhanced, flavored by the bittersweet taste of change or loss in any form.
Bella told me she had once envisioned our lives as the complex pattern of a rug, the colors and textures intermingling, each individual but, when placed together, producing a beautiful creation. If challenged, I would have most likely used a musical analogy. I would have compared our lives to experiencing a musical performance by one of the masters.
Beethoven...Bach...or if you wanted a little strife, Wagner. Most at one time or another had performed their masterpieces within European chapels. I could envision the rise and fall of the notes, as they would weave their spell. The light in the building as it filtered through stained glass, creating a dizzying array of colors. The smell from beeswax candles permeating the room. Modern musical halls lacked this perfect simplicity. Yes...this would have been my analogy.
Little was I to know that Fate had much in store for me. Before she was through with me, I would barely resemble the boy I'd been...

wow supreme angst going on in that one! Author's Response: I know - pretty hard chapter. I wondered when reading Stephenie's version was it covered between them. I felt I had to get it out of the way to continue going forward. Crucial for their relationship. Thanks so much for enjoying!

hmmmmm a pleasant lil cliffyish chapter....sweet I love gift giving.... and can't wait for next update.... Author's Response: I am glad you enjoyed. I have more of the story posted on Fan Fic - and after the Valentine's day scene ( to come) I was asked to do a spin off for the other Cullens. I am having fun - having fun I will add as the tie in story - Family Tradition - when I reach that here.

Author's Response: Even though the chapters in Chicago are for background and depth - I really enjoyed writing a calmer section of their lives. There just seems to be so much to learn about these characters.

I love how the bond between Bella and Jake is still there and how Edward accepts and even embraces it, it's lovely and well written Author's Response: I read, and re-read Breaking Dawn, and I just couldn't see Ms. Meyer's leading it to be any other way. It is amazing that they really never realized just how much they had in common in the first place.

wow was behind by three chapters zbut glad i was able to read them all at once, it's like flipping the pages on a good book, I want more :) Loved the prank, I forgot about it, and actually thought Anna was going after Emmett LOL!! Author's Response: Well I hope you were as shocked and surprised as Emmett then! :) I wrote that scene several different ways, and to be honest I couldn't decide whether or not I'd pulled it off. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
