Hello, there! My name's Janie, I'm 25 years old, and I just read all four books of the Twilight Saga in the space of a week, haha. Wonderful stuff, and I'm a longtime fandom hopper... thought I'd toss my hat in the Twilight ring!

Summary:
Bella Swan spent the first two years of her life in Forks developing a friendship with Jacob Black that finally turned into something more. As she begins her senior year of high school, a new family moves to town and Bella slowly begins to question the path she thought her life would follow. Sometimes there is a difference between what you think you need and what you never knew you wanted. Takes place during the timeframe of New Moon and Eclipse. J/B at first, but eventually E/B.

Title: Chapter 16: Acquaintances
Sorta new around here, so this was the first time I'd seen your story about, and I appear to be about halfway done. It is way past my bedtime, and I don't care. This story is so full of awesome... and I laughed my ass off at your Emmett... and I lovelovelove your Bella, who is easily embarrassed and a little misanthropic and thinks she's not in Edward's league, but praise heaven is NOT a doormat. She's smart and funny and sarcastic and happy/unhappy, just like everyone else in the world, and it's great. I'll totes leave you another review when I finish the rest of this story, which will be somewhere in the vicinity of 3 am.

Title: Chapter 19: Hallowed
Wow, I wasn't going to review again until the end, but had to after this chapter. I simply adore how real your story is. It's almost like this is what I wanted Twilight to be instead of what it was, which is saying a lot since I love the books. But there's something about the realism in your story that's just beautiful and heartbreaking. This chapter was such an ode to a relationship that's falling apart; not because something is wrong, but because something isn't quite right. And, god, so few people really get what that means, but you've painted it brilliantly here.

Hey, wow. This is... wow. I'd totally leave you a more kick-ass review, but it's four in the morning. That's how much I loved it - I stayed up this late to finish the whoooole thing. Will wait with bated breath for more. :)

This is a great story! You've got a knack for the characters' voices for sure, and I love the plotline. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: thanks :)
Summary: Edward's family hire Bella Swan to break the heartbreaker's heart in hopes to have him see the error of his womanizing ways. Bella realizes that they have a little too much in common and is having a little too much fun with this subject. EXB Lots of lemons later.

Title: Chapter 17: Serious Sunday
This is a great story! I particluarly enjoy the twist you've put on the situation with Bella's career, but now I'm nervous about what'll happen when Edward finds out, lol. Can't wait to read more! Author's Response: Be nervous, be very nervous. It's going to be an emotional roller coaster from here on out.
Summary: Edward is no stranger to new towns and new schools. In his seventeen years, he's been dragged all across the country by his parents, Peter and Liz Masen. With no siblings, no real friends, and no place to truly call "home," Edward gets used to living life as a solitary teenager--until he moves to Washington. There he meets the Cullens and their friends—a beautiful, brilliant group of people who are both rejected and revered by their classmates. Edward reluctantly finds himself growing to like these people more and more...and finds himself having friends and, for the first time, feeling like he belongs. But just when everything settles down, his world is torn apart by a long-kept secret and an ongoing betrayal that will leave him questioning everything he's ever known.
Drama/Humor/Mystery/Angst-lite Rated R/M (for language and sexual innduendo)
This is not an Edward/Emmett slash story however, there is a lot of Edward & Emmett togetherness.

LOL keeping the hand down, because I actually guessed right - go me! Don't feel bad, though, it was a million times cooler on paper than it was in my head. Not that this is on paper. It's on a screen.
Jillion times better. Am waiting on pins and needles for the next part! Hope Edward isn't too hard on his new fam...
Summary: "Doing what rich people do is easy."
Same old story, Twilight twist. St. Olaf's is a prestigious boarding school, dripping with money, sex, and social hierarchy. But there's really only one question you have to ask yourself: are you one of Them or one of The Elite?

Hot damn, you know how to cliffhang a gal, dont'cha? Really enjoying this story, can't wait to find out what's next!
Summary:
I stepped back to the table, and grasped her prone hand. It was already measurably cooler, defeating the swirling heat of her dying heart. The coolness subsumed the scar on her hand. I cringed inwardly. Ironically, where James had failed, I would succeed, leeching all heat from her bones...
What she'd begged me for, what I'd refused, was nevertheless happening.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Unveiling
Wonderful narration! I love reading canon events from other points of view, but I don't think I've ever read an Edward POV that I've so thoroughly believed in before. You really do have a gift for this! I love the subtle ways that the other characters' thoughts differ from each other, both modern and stamped with the character of their era. It's a very intelligent and thoughtful retelling of the story, I look forward to what's coming next! Author's Response: They all sound very different to me when I read the books, so I guess that's what is coming out. I'm happy it seems faithful to you!

Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Plan C
Ahhh, I finally got a chance to catch up with this story! Sorry for the reviewing delay, but I encountered a slight problem with my reading. My life kept me away for long enough that when I read the latest chapter, it seemed jarring and out of place. Happily, now that I've gone back and re-read the whole lovely story (perfect way to spend an evening in, by the way!) it flows quite well. Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but Cutting of Cords is, hands down, the best alternate canon POV I've ever read, including Midnight Sun. Wonderful job, as usual, hope the weekend project lives on a little longer... :) Author's Response: I'm so relieved! Now someone else has read it for flow. I try, but it is a bit large by now. By the time I am finished, it is usually time to go to sleep and then I'm not sure I am seeing it clearly... Much less do I have time to continue to the next chapter. (Yes, I should probably just give that up.)
Summary:
Bella has a chronic case of aquaphilia. Jacob attempts to dress her like an Indian. Emmett can’t keep his hands to himself, and oh, yeah, Edward loses the gentleman in him and plays the Peeping Tom. There's a guh-nome, too. Rated for dirty talk, liberated ladies, and oodles of bad behavior.
Note the NC-17 label. Just because the cover graphic is cute doesn't mean the story isn't kinky.

Title: Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Flamingo + Edward Out
... I kind of adore you. I have never, ever read a story, anywhere, in any fandom (and I've been around the fandom block), that dealt with philemaphobia. Four years ago when I first started dating my boyfriend, I frantically googled "intense aversion to kissing" in the hopes that I wasn't just abysmal at it and that he was telling the truth when he said it had nothing to do with me. Bless his heart, he tries for me, but it's a weird and sort of funny thing to get used to. We've been together for four years, and I've never kissed him with tongue... I may have forgotten how, lol. Didn't mean to make this into "true confessions" time, but just when I thought there was no way I could love this story more, you went and made it as odd as my life! :) Can't wait to read more. Author's Response: Ahhhh! Okay, so it's like -SPILL-ALL- time. So my boy (also of the last four years) was sort of like Edward in that he's really pretty but unbelievably shy--and he has weird taste in girls--like me. When he was 14?, he had a girl, who was like his best friend and whom he had zero attraction to, crawl into his lap and lay it on him for like five minutes of painful awkward weird slobberiness.
So that made him even more shy about girls, and when we *finally* got together (I had to be rather persistant), I had my work cut out for me.
In my case it took like... six months. But I still get yelled at on occassion if I'm not *gradual* with the whole tongue thing. But I'm sort of a persistant little bitch about it... *sighs*
Anyway, Waterfall is a lot of parody, so Edward's problem will be unrealistically improved at a much faster pace, and also it just fit into cannon Edward's restraint so well.
But of course in real life, people have issues. Relationships are weird, screwed up games of compromise and oddity, and I'm sure your boy knows how very lucky he is to have found you.
XOXOXO Much love! Thanks for reviewing!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Oooh, this is lovely! I can't wait to see how you flesh this out - Jasper's the enigma of the series, and therefore my favorite, lol. Looking forward to more! Author's Response: Thank you! I wouldn't say Jasper is my favorite, but he grows on me more and more each day. On my first reading of the series (I'm a relative newbie) I liked him but I wasn't all that interested in his storyline. On my second time through, however, he just stood out that much more, and I realized that he really could offer some very unique insights into the other characters if only someone would ask him!
Summary: Bella Swan moves cross country to take a teaching job, trying to escape the man who broke her heart. Edward Cullen is the school's music teacher with secrets of his own. Title: Chapter 17: Chapter 16
I have to admit, after your beginning author's notes I was a little apprehensive about reading this chapter... but I'm glad I did! LOL Also, I'm glad that apparently your bad moods aren't as detrimental to your characters as mine would be. I seriously was bracing myself for someone to die, possibly several someones. Maybe some ebola virus, I don't know. Disaster, catastrophe, and woe. I am most pleasantly surprised, and incredibly glad that you're still writing. Can't make things TOO easy on them, eh? I did want to note as well that I really liked the Jacob POV. I thought he might be thinking the way that he is, and I'm glad for it. Apparently nobody told poor Bella that boys are dense... especially teenage ones. It's good to see that Jacob is just another boy, no matter how she idealized him, and that he does love her in his way. Thanks again for a great chapter! Author's Response: LOL. I actually almost wrote the love scene that was supposed to come next, just to show what would have happened had I tried it. Edward would have been a little *cough* rough.
Summary: I ran into Rob Pattinson.
And I was wearing a shirt with his face on it.
When Aimee has a chance encounter with Rob Pattinson things go from bad to awful in seconds. Could it have to do with the fact that his face is displayed for the world to see on her chest? Possibly.

Title: Chapter 3: Want To Distract Me?
Great story! Can't wait to see how she distracts him... ;)
Summary:
Being a teenage pariah is never easy, but for Edward Cullen it's especially difficult. Then again, anyone would find being a mind-reader at the age of seventeen a little more than challenging.
Once a simple high school burn-out, Edward had given up on love after a painful break up. He attempts to drown his pain in extensive drug use which eventually triggers his ability to hear the thoughts of others. Once Carlisle is made aware of Edward's hidden talent, he sends his son to a psyche ward where he is diagnosed with type 2 Bipolar disorder. During his stay, he befriends Alice Brandon and finds himself oddly drawn to her best friend Bella (who has a damaging secret of her own).

Title: Chapter 1: Party Favors
Oooh, I like this! LOL Even though the most likely outcome of Edward's extracurricular activities would be more along the lines of death than hearing thoughts... that's what fanfiction is for, right? It's unbelievable, but somehow I believe in it, your writing style really grabs me. By the by, I don't hate the Tanya, or the lack of Alice and Bella. I like it when authors take their time bringing elements into a story, otherwise it just ends up being information overload and the plot of the story tends to suffer. I'm off to read the next part!

Title: Chapter 2: Family
Excellent, I like the way you're fleshing this out. It's pretty much right on track with how I imagined it might go... they're teenagers! Of course they think it's the coolest thing ever. And of course they haven't thought through all the ramifications of it or what people might say or do if they found out. One teensy little problem with the chapter... LOL and it really is teeny. The term you're looking for, when someone hogs a joint, is "bogarting." So named, I'm pretty sure, for the actor, Humphrey Bogart... not entirely sure why, but yeah.
Summary: Edward Masen has just moved to the rainy town of Forks, thinking that his life is over...that is until he meets the incredible, yet troubled Bella Swan and her friends. A story about finding yourself and the ones you grow to love where you never thought you could. Some OOCness...

Okay, if I had one wish it would be for several million dollars, who am I kidding. But still.

1) This story wins. I've only read a couple that incorporate lyrics/poetry in which said lyrics/poetry are actually good. Yours are better than good.

Title: Chapter 9: Type set
That's a good rule those Cullens have, there. My band once recorded a set list run-through when we were all drunk. Not one of us has had more than a light beer before a performance since. This is probably very weird of me, but I think that Ordinary_Girl and Debussy_88's epistolary interaction is just as hot as dear Edward and Bella's physical interaction. My favorite anatomical euphemism... if I'm feeling silly, it's johnson. Otherwise, it's pussy.

Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Wow, I just read the first four chapters and let me just say that you have a fabulous imagination! I love the "surprise" role-reversal, though you pretty much had me going until you asked for theories at the end of chapter 2, lol. Still, even with the tip-off that all was perhaps not as it appeared, that was a very skillful bit of writing. Makes me wonder if, since you claim no expertise in anthropology, if you do have some in gender studies or some form of communacations concentration.. or, ha, if you just know what most readers of Twilight fanfiction come to expect - the "if somebody's in distress, it must be Bella" syndrome. But honestly, you captured the spirit of what the majority of the Western world would consider masculine and feminine voices and attributed them to the opposite gender. Although, without any other guideposts, the youth and fear in Edward's voice and conversely the age and competence in Bella's do mirror what most would expect from a feminine and masculine stereotype, respectively. Sorry, I'm rambling, but I could talk about this crap forever! Great job, and I'll look for the next installment.
