Title: Chapter 34: Tightrope
First, IVO is awesome. I just joined this site a few weeks ago and have had the pleasure of reading numerous stories since then (summer off from teaching is a real blessing!). Yours is absolutely one of the best I have read. In fact, your story is one of my top three favorites. You write very well and the pacing is perfect. More than that, your development of the characters is spot on. I love the situations you have concocted to explore different facets of their characters. I loved the pumpkin shopping/skipping school scene, especially!
Second, in my opinion, the angst and bitterness permeating the story is entirely appropriate. Bella's pain over letting down all her defenses only to be rejected by Edward and then later being physically attacked by Jacob is unimaginable. As reflected in your story, I think it would be extremely difficult for her to bounce back and go on living as before. I think it's pretty dang amazing that she has let Edward back into her life as quickly as she has given what a jerk he has been. However, I completely believe it the way you have written it. I don't know how many of the fanfic stories you've written, but you're doing a great job.
Third, please update! Can't wait to see what happens next....
