In a fraction of a second, I was at Bella's side, the rest of my family still frozen. I put my hands on Bella's shoulders.
"Let her go, Rose," I said, my voice deadly. She just stared back at me grimly. I searched her mind, trying to get a hold of her plans. There was a resolve, a plan to protect the baby at all costs. And an aching desire she couldn't hide to have that baby as her own....

Her face was so deathly still, no response. She was unearthly pale, and there was the slightest blue tinge to her skin, the sky pale at dawn. As I pressed my lips to hers, they were too cool. I blew in gently twice, watching her chest rise and fall mechanically. I moved my mouth to her ear as my hands began to move again.
"Come on, Bella, love," I whispered. "Come on, sweetheart. I'm right here. You did it. You've got a healthy baby. She's so beautiful. You were strong enough. Now it's time for you to come back. She's waiting. I'm waiting, love. I'm waiting for you, always...

The imprinting-talk between Edward and Jake is definitely a chapter that was missing in BD. I absolutely love it!
Renesmee is adorable - not annoying like in BD. *sigh*
I don't think you should include the Volturi confrontation in your story. Let it end after Bella's first days, sort of a happy end.

Great! As I said before you're improving the original. SM should have made it clearer in how much danger Jake really puts Charlie. I always thought that the arguement that follows with Edward is to easily settled.
Emmet *sigh* I guess, Edward will kick his butt when Charlie has left.
Poor confused Jasper. He and Alice are having a hard time.

How will everyone in the family adjust to their first move since their family grew?
On top of the move, Renesmee is a mere year or so away from reaching full maturity, another new experience for the entire family.

Sorry for my late review, I’ve been on vacation and looking forward to your update all week ;)
You absolutely met my expectations with Carlisle, every bit the gentleman I imagine him, even apologizing for not carrying his passport around, as absurd as the situation is; loving and caring, willingly walking into what might be his own death to get the Volutri away from his family.
Marcus’/Antonella’s interference is quite a surprise, one old friends might turn out to be a real friend with an unknown sense for family.
