Thirty something girl that has become obsessed with Twilight, Edward, Rob, etc. I would like to think that I wouldn't leave my family if He sent for me, but I can't be certain. I love the series because I don't have to deal with reality. If I read enough fanfic I can usually dream of Edward. What a great super power to have, dreaming of Robward at will! ; - )

Summary:  Edward is a 27-year-old alcoholic/addict struggling with his recovery. Bella is a 23-year-old who's moved back home after college. This fic chronicles how they meet, fall in love, and struggle with the complexities of their relationship. Not nearly as maudlin as it sounds (I hope).
Rated NC-17 for graphic (and sometimes non-romantic) sex, drug and alcohol use and abuse, profane language, and brief (very brief) suicidal ideation (although NO suicide attempts). No sexual assault, no cutting.

aww. That was sweet and sexy at the same time.
Summary: A story about love, about death, about keeping secrets, and dealing with the consequences. Bella and Edward meet at a hospital when she is diagnosed with a life threatening disease and he is recovering from knee surgery. She confides her fears to him; he changes his life because of her. This is a story about their journey through the confusion, awkwardness, pain, and beauty of first love.
Excerpt from Chapter 2:
“What are you most afraid of?” Edward asks one last question.
“I'm not afraid of dying,” I answer truthfully.
“You're not afraid of dying?” he repeats, incredulous.
“No. There's so much more. I'm afraid of losing my hair but that's not my biggest fear. I'm afraid of leaving my mom and dad all alone. I'm afraid that if I survive, I'll never have children of my own.” I yawn again. Edward is quiet and I think for a moment that he's fallen asleep. “Edward,” I whisper, in case he is asleep, “What are you most afraid of?”
“I'm afraid I'm falling for you,” he whispers back so softly that I'm unsure if I've heard him correctly.

I will visit your site about becoming an organ donor. Many people have lost loved ones to cancer or have loved ones living with or fighting this invader. My little cousin transition from this life around this time last year after a 5 year battle against neroblastoma. I live in Memphis, TN and my family was VERY blessed to have access to St. Jude Cancer and Research Center. Words can not describe that greatest of this facility and its staff.

Summary:

I was at the Naval Academy in Annapolis this summer and it is one of the most breath taking campuses I've seen. I like it better than Harvard. The buildings remind me of far away times. uh oh. I since trouble on the rise. I wish Bella could go all 2009 on him and just spit out what she thinks about him holding back. I know there new at this, but I can't imagine Edward not being able to make you come during intercourse. I come just looking at that crooked smile. Author's Response: Well, yeah. I understand that normally the place between Edward's legs is magical, but I'm going for realism here. Besides the fact that it's 1942 and "letting go", so to speak, is difficult, Edward is 18 and just started having sex. His staying power is for shit. It IS still Edward though, and he never leaves Bella unsatisfied, bless his heart.

Things will be tense between Edward and James. I can't sketch out James character yet. It's obvious he has an attraction for Bella, but I'm not sure of how innocent. Is he a threat? I kept wondering if he would attack her in the dark while Edward was away. Is my fear unfounded? I think I kinda want him to be a nice guy...like Bella's Jacob in Twilight. Author's Response: You're not the only person to tell me that they thought James might show up in the dark, and I have to say, that surprises me a little bit. However, I guess it shouldn't since he's kind of been lurking around the edges, his motivations unclear.

Poor Bella. I thought she was pregnant and was going to find out at the doctor. Wouldn't that add to her problems? I'm glad she with it now...hopeful school and a life is next. Author's Response: NO. She's not pregnant. Could you imagine not only how hard that would be on Bella, but Edward as well? That he was away while she was pregnant and gave birth to their child would absolutely devastate Edward. No way.

What did Bella miss doing in Hawaii? Was it going to Charilie's grave? Author's Response: Yes, that's exactly it. Well, most of it. There was some small part of her that knew she needed to go back to Maryland and do something. Know what I mean? She knew she had to leave the comfort of her family and strike out on her own. But that being said, it was mostly visiting Charlie.
