Summary:  The idea for this fanfiction story came from my one main critique of Meyer's novels: that Bella and Edward's relationship lacks conflict. Sounds crazy, right? But think about it. They experience small quibbles and spats, all of which are resolved on the very next page! Yes, their love is enduring. But even the most magical relationships need a little real conflict and angst to make them magical yet believable! So I picked this up from New Moon. In the book, Bella forgives Edward way too easily when they reunite, in my opinion. So I wanted to give her character a new and interesting chance to stand her ground on her own turf. Edward NEVER returned to Forks in this story; instead, it picks up three years later. Bella is in college, participating in an environmental work-study program in Maine. And...well, you'll see!

Title: Chapter 29: Chapter 28 "The End"
I'd been wondering how this story could fit into those months where the Cullens were gone. I had a hard time picturing Bella going through all of this and then just picking up with the Cullens again. But now I see how you've done it. I absolutely love it. I love the line from the book (Time passes....). It was very sad but I'm a sucker for angst. Anyway great story you've done a wonderful job and I'm glad I had the chance to read it:)

All told from Edward's POV, The Acclimation Diaries, chronicles Edward’s struggles with learning to control himself and taking things one step at a time as he acclimates himself to Bella sexually in preparation of their impending wedding night. Can he keep his desire in check or will he snap?

So I read this all of this today and I must say.....I absolutely love it!! I think you did a great job of getting inside of Edward's head and his conversations with Emmett and Jasper were hilarious at some times. Anyway.... yay!! Summary:
Ascension of the Morning Star is a novel-length work that offers an alternative to Breaking Dawn. The work is represented in two books, Evening Star and Morning Star. Each book will appear as a separate story on this site. This is Part I.
In Part I: Evening Star, we find Bella and Edward preparing for their marriage. From engagement to wedding night the whirlwind of 55 planning days is a roller coaster of emotion, intrigue,and surprises for everyone. Exploring sexuality & intimacy, will Edward be ready? Hey great chapter!!
I'm always a little nervous about Bella/Jasper stories. Let me tell you why (if you care lol). On one hand, I don't like stories where Edward is painted in an evil light just so Bella and Jasper can be together. On the other hand, the stories that capture the true Edward are just more heartbreaking because he's all hurt and what not. Then (sorry I don't have three hands lol) there are those stories that kill Edward off. That's just way too sad for me.
Ok, I'm done rambling for now, I'm anticipating your next chapter with excitement and a little nervousness:)

Hi,
I'm really enjoying your story. I hardly read Alice/Jasper fics but I'm glad I gave this one a chance. Your Alice is great. I think I've read so many stories where Alice is a shop-a-holic and is way too pushy and overbearing. It's refreshing to see a calm and caring Alice with some spunk.
I also love the friendship between Jasper and Edward. They are actually my two favorite characters in the Twilight series so anything involving those two has my attention.
Anyway, I've rambled long enough. I look forward to reading the next chapter.
:) Author's Response: Thanks so much for your lovely review! :D I'm a lot like you when it comes to Alice. The crazed shop-a-holic is a character trait I steered clear of. I wanted her to just be a regular, fun girl. Writing Jasper's and Edward's conversations are some of the most fun I've had since I started writing fanfiction. They can be so silly sometimes! LOL They're definitely my two favorite characters in the series, and I absolutely love them when they're paired together romantically. I'm a sucker for some good Jasper/Edward slash. *giggle*
