Summary:  ON HIATUS. [sorry guys :-(]
Bella (22) longs for love and acceptance, yet her fear of rejection keeps her guarded and single. Her craving to feel needed is fulfilled by working as a live-in nanny to Rosalie, who's a single mom to four-year old Henry.
For months, Bella has been secretly infatuated with Rosalie's ex-husband, Edward (29), but he barely acknowledges Bella during their brief encounters. That is, until one night when she bumps into him at a club.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply, but chapter 13 is now in with the beta's and will be up real soon. I hope you enjoy the following unbeta'd teaser from Bella in Chapter 13: Friends:
Tucking my hair behind my ear, I adjusted my glasses and took a deep breath before stepping out onto the patio. The delicious smell of grilled meat and onions was strong in the air, causing my stomach to grumble with impatient hunger.
The bright sunlight shone down on the patio, making me sigh in pleasure from the heat on my skin. I was glad I'd taken off my sweater before coming out into the warm sunshine, but I was still a little nervous about Edward's reaction.
He, and everyone else, was listening to Alice tell a story about something her boys did yesterday. As I walked towards the table, Edward glanced at me sideways with a smile on his face. The cheerfulness in his expression warmed my heart, but when he did a fast double take and fixed his eyes on me, a chill of concern made my breath hitch and my steps falter. He trailed his burning gaze over me, up and down. Fearful that he had recognized me as Marie, my stomach churned with queasiness and my breaths turned shallow. I slowed my approach to a near stop, my wide eyes glued to his.
I knew I shouldn't have taken off my damn sweater!

Summary:
I'd been dissatisfied more times than I could count in the past two years, which probably wasn't a bad thing. Usually, it just meant another long month of disappointment on my part when we realized the new batch of women were no good. We'd found several candidates that fit our needs, but as was often the case, they lacked that certain spark I'd personally been looking for. It didn't matter, though; I always had a lot of fun deciphering through the rejects.
It wasn't about promiscuity; it wasn't about experimentation, although we did plenty of that. Our program was about learning how to find sexual pleasure, adapting to different methods, and finding that one person who chemically and physically matched us to perfection.
Rated NC-17 for graphic lemons, sexual/adult content, and foul language. Canon couples...eventually.
