Title: Chapter 41: Chapter 40 - Taste My Tears
I absolutely love this story and have it "favorited" for months, so please don't be insulted at my next sentence. For lack of a better term, I'm kind of losing my patience. There is such a thing as too much angst. I think I am just going to wait a few weeks before reading any updated chapters in hopes that in a few more chapters there may be at least some happiness. Author's Response: I am never insulted when someone says what's on their mind, especially politely. I am sorry you feel that way and guarantee there will be some happy, but it is a very tragic story and we're just now getting to where the "fixing it" comes in.
I am grateful for your feedback and thank you for being honest.
Summary: She once lived the life of luxury with her husband, James, until he becomes abusive. With the help of an unlikely friend, she fakes her own death, escapes James' abuse, becomes Bella Swan, and starts fresh in a new town. Title: Chapter 13: 13
Ay yi yi. Fifteen? She's not even old enough to drive or see an R rated movie. It's more than a little creepy to me that Edward finds himself lusting after her. She's just a baby. I really hope that nothing else occurs between them until she is at least 18, especially considering that Edward would be guilty of a felony if he so much as felt her up or vice versa. I know you need to write at your own pace, but it would be nice if there was a major time warp.
Summary: Bella’s a bit of a firecracker—a law school student with a hot, Latin temper, an abusive boyfriend, and one-too-many run-ins with the law. A domestic disturbance citation leaves her wondering if she’ll ever see this sex-haired, green-eyed god of a police officer again.
Edward’s a cop on his beat, and he’s been around the block a time or two. Trouble is, he’s bored with his frequent one-night-stands, and can’t help but feel trapped by his relationship to his long-time girlfriend, Tanya.
Can Bella and Edward overcome their baggage and make it work? Or is their baggage the reason why their love-at-first-sight exists?

Title: Chapter 43: Chapter 42 - Maggie
The lawyer in me can't help but comment about the dismissal of Sue's attack. I practice in New York, so maybe it's possible in the state this story takes place in, but if a Grand Jury determines there is enough evidence for an indictment, then a judge can't dismiss a charge unless significant, previously unknown evidence was found. That's the point of a trial. Everything else, with the exception of the witnesses hanging out together, seemed accurate, so I was just curious if Washington did give a judge the power to dismiss indictments and whether it was with our without prejudice. I'm not sure how that would be Constitutional, but I was just curious.
Summary: Bella lives to serve her Master. It can be tedious at times, titillating at others, but always, her world revolves around his. Come take a peek at the trials and triumphs in the life of a 24/7 consensual slave and find what happens when outside forces threaten to expose her lifestyle.

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1
You have a great story started, but, I, like some of the other reviewers, am having a hard time understanding the emotional relationship. I have no doubt that all of the readers concerns will be addressed through the development of the story, however, I am really disturbed that, thus far, Bella has absolutely no time to speak freely. I have a PhD in family and marriage counseling and have been professionally exposed to and accept many, many types of relationships, including couples who live their lives in BDSM roles. Many of my clients live as dom/sub and have very happy personal and professional lives. However, I have never seen a relationship be successful when the submissive is never allowed any time to speak freely and when the couple never acts as a stereotypical couple does. This type of sexual relationship, although Bella does admit that she could free herself and that she wishes to be there, teeters on abusive-and, so far as we know, it is just that: a sexual relationship.This is borderline Stockholm Syndrom. I think that this story could be phenomenal and definitely hot, but please keep in mind that most readers love happily ever afters for Bella and Edward. I hope you aren't offended by what I've said and I realize that it is very early on in the story. This has great potential and I will continue reading it no matter what path you choose.

Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4
I wasn't going to review again, but I can't help myself. I think you are a fantastic author and could go many directions with this story. I, along with every reader here, realize that this is a work of fiction, but, I can't read further without saying anything. Please know that I am in no way trying to be offensive or trying you to get you to change your storyline. I just have to say this to be fair to my profession. I mentioned before that I have a PhD in family and relationship counseling. I spent four years researching, in depth, alternative relationships all across the nation for my thesis. I spent the majority of my time within the BDSM community. I should say I do not practice BDSM in any way, however, as a result of my studies, I do have several very good friends that actively participate in this lifestyle. I am well aware of Total Power Exchange relationships, and 24/7 lifestyles. However, you should know that these relationships are not promoted, condoned, or respected in true, trained BDSM communities. I completely understand that this is fictional and, as you said, you are getting your information from the internet. Please be aware that, although it is unintentional, you are doing the BDSM community a great disservice by portraying the type of relationship between these characters.
Just some things you should consider: TPE relationships are never considered longterm-your characters are getting married; all BDSM participants recognize and understand the ROLES (yes, I said role) that they play; BDSM players understand the need for "vanilla" time with their significant other-no one can role-play constantly, it is, as you accurately portrayed, work; no responsible Dom ever, ever, ever, demands that his Sub remain unheard (this comes directly from my friend who is a Master Trainer).
Once again, I realize that this is fictional and you say you are getting your information from the internet, but not everything you read is true. However, I am more than willing to provide my credentials and my associates' credentials if you have any questions. Normally, I wouldn't waste my time, but I have based my entire career on trying to get society to accept healthy relationships, although they many be out of the norm, instead of being judgmental. I am not an expert on the whips and chains of BDSM, but I am a published expert on the love and trust of BDSM. Portrayals like yours are inaccurate and unintentionally cause people to think ill of the entire BDSM community, a community, that, when proper, is no more unhealthy than any other relationship.
Again, it is not my intent to be offensive or insulting and I apologize if I presented that way. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I love this! You have completely and accurately captured the statistical reaction of abuse victims. It is about time someone got it right! Professionally I am a family and relationship counselor and it always irks me when people create this weak in every sense, battered, pitiful Bella. You are laying the foundation to what is promising to be an excellent story. Can't wait for the next update! Author's Response: Thanks you so much. That is what I love to hear, that I am portraying Bella the right way. Bella isn't weak or Pityful. She is downtrodden but not stuck in the realtionship. She really does love Jake despite his "flaws" that she feels she creates. I have person experience of this type of DA so I am glad i could hit the nail on the head when trying to write her reactions. Hope you keep reading.
Summary: When a completely innocent Bella has her life turned upside down, she finds herself hardened, angry, and refuses to take it anymore. She used to pine for Edward, but is now indifferent. Edward, once a slightly cocky jock who set out to humiliate Bella, finds some truths to the loss of his parents, making him slightly rebellious, stand-offish, and completely detached.
Will they fall in together, and find a way to mend each other? Or will it all fall to pieces?

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 4: Dead Man
Am I the only one that thinks it is more than a little wrong to glamorize very, very, young teens becoming sexually active? Don't get me wrong, I love the plot of this story so far, but the thought of reading lemons about kids this young seems a little, "To Catch a Predator," to me. I do love the plot very much, but if it is possible, could you warn us if there is sexual content so we can skip over it? Author's Response: Before I say anything, I just want to say that what I say next isn't supposed to sound 'snotty' or anything, but...I write what I know, and I really don't think I am glamorizing teens having sex, considering you don't know how the story will end, it's a little too soon to judge it that way. Mentioning the end, we are very very far from it. I write what I know, what I've experienced. I know that girls are not sewn shut until they are 18 and then suddenly are able to have sex. I write based on personal experience, I in turn was held at gunpoint by my mother, raped...not almost raped (I held back on that one) at the age of 15, and my first voluntary sexual experience was at 16. My story is my story and I will write it as such. Yes I will write in my Chapter beginning note a sexual advisory, and to tell you now, there will be more. I'm not saying that everything these characters do will be without consequence, and I'm not saying it won't end happily ever after. Like I said before I write what I know, and what I've been through, and I like to think that if I am glamorizing anything it is giving myself a better ending to the way things happened to me. A brighter side. I didn't have friends to fall back on, or someone who loved me when it seemed that no one else did. The "To Catch a Predator" association I don't see, because they are both the same age. Also, if you are concerned about my interest in having my 15 year old characters engaging in sex, I'm not a pedifile, I'm a 22 year old woman, who remembers it like it was yesterday, I have interest in 15 year old boys, or girls. So all I can say is I hope you continue reading, and that I will try to remember to add a sexual advisory. Thank you for your concern.

I love that you have such a different Edward. In 95% of all other fanfics, Edward would have flipped out on the guys that were watching the carwash scene. You just made it hot!
As a fellow attorney, I love that you actually make this believable (although I admit, I know absolutely nothing about patent law :s).
Summary:  Edward Cullen was a loner, an outcast. He clearly hated everybody, including himself. He was not a nice person. So, why was I so drawn to him? And why did I get the crazy feeling he felt the same way?

I'm glad you're not going into detail!! Kudos for that! This is the most tastefully done story that involves a victim of abuse that I've read, fanfiction or otherwise.

Okay, I absolutely love this. It's never been done before and is incredibly sweet and has a lot of depth, so please don't be offended by my next statement. These two use their terms of endearment way too much. They speak almost every sentence with "sweets," "love," "sweetheart," or "baby." Geez, I know they're in love, but by the end of the chapter I was kind of rolling my eyes at their dialogue. I do love the story between Carlisle and Charlie and can really understand the intensity of their love, but you really might want to ease off of the terms of endearment. Over fifty times in one chapter is a lot. It's an incredible story and updates are like crack to me, so I'll continue to "pimp it out." I just couldn't not point out that this chapter was a little too syrupy. :)

Law of Attraction is definitely my all time favorite Twilighted fanfic, but I just can't get into this one. :( I'm from an old Southern family (yes, I had a cotillion and yes, I can properly set a table for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and dinner) and don't know any educated southern person who talks like Edward. No offense intended, but Edward’s speech is a little overkill. We were taught from a very young age, in schools and at home, that this type of rhetoric only enforces negative stereotypes about the South, so every line of Edward’s dialogue makes me cringe and is kind of insulting... I can’t wait to see what story/ies you write next though!

That was my review. *looks down sheepishly* You certainly don't need to apologize! Fanfiction is all about tweaking characters to fit your visions. Apologies certainly aren't necessary for taking creative license. I didn't mean to insult you. My apologies. I must have misread (which is, sadly, not that unusual). Dialects in TX and GA are as different as New Jersey and Virginia and my review was completely based on the belief that Edward was a Georgian born and bred. I have no idea how Texans speak. My mistake. Please don't be offended by my previous review. I swear I'm not one of those annoying, preaching readers!
Summary:   
Bella goes through the motions in life and finds herself always thinking about her past, her lost chance at love. Forces begin to compel her, but is she finally strong enough to go after the only thing she has ever truly wanted… even when that dream is farther out of reach than ever?

Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - New Leaf
I think this has incredibly potential, but it is really, really difficult to read. It's hard to understand what is present time and what is a flashback and when that flashback is. I had to go back and re-read certain sections several times. Please don't be offended but having to re-read makes it more of a chore instead of fun. But, I think this has a lot of potential if it is a little more clear. Author's Response: Well.. Drat. That is not what I was hoping for at all. I think I'm going ot change a few things. I hated the "flow breaking" that posting a specific time before a flashback would do, but I think it may be important since yours is not the first concern I've heard. However, several people are enjoying the ride, so I don't want to do too much and ruin it for those folks. That being said, I will not start posting the growing timeline in the END NOTES just in case the timeframes listed don't make it clear. Hope this helps, please let me know. Summary: Bella is dating James Cartwright. They’ve been together for years and the sex is lacking. Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1- Birthday Blues
All of my professional training tells me that anyone that is this affected, was most likely abused in some form and needs therapy. Not sexual therapy. :)
This is definitely different. It's kind of funny that "The Appointment," which focuses on sex therapy is for an incredibly loose Bella and yours is for an incredibly uptight Bella. Can't wait to see where this goes! Author's Response: Thank you for sharing your opinion and your knowledge. I haven't read The Appointment, I might have to check it out in the future. I just thought deal with serious repression would be interesting, especially watching Bella unfold over the chapters. More to come in the future.

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Why are more people not reading this story?? I was hooked after the first chapter, which is something that I have never ever had happen. Although I do have to say I'm not a Jasper/Bella fan... Author's Response: Thanks for reading and taking time to comment. I am totally Team Edward, but I'm seriously infatuated with Jasper. :) That tends to come out in my stories. Title: Chapter 3: See, I'm Smiling
I think they are both sucking it up right now! Bella could go with him on his book tours and put her career on hold. Edward could demand more time away from his career. Neither one of them is putting their marriage first. Sadness... I never like to see an unhappy Belward. Author's Response: I COMPLETELY agree with you! I don't know why the hell Edward couldn't have just asked her to go with him. (Ok, actually, I do, but it still makes me mad!) and Bella... well... I mean,. I've been where she is. I know what it's like to feel like you're always following in someone's footsteps and wanting to be able to make a path of your own. Sometimes people just grow apart, no matter how much they love each other! But I agree that they're not putting their marriage first. It seems like Bella still has some growing up to do. This is one of the more immature Bellas that I've ever read! I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... :)
