Great start! I loved the desperation in Edward's voice. You can really emphasize with how his world has been destroyed with Bella's decision to leave and I thought the decision to have him talking to himself as he slowly loses his mind was a very nice touch!

I loved the section on the dynamic between Sam, Emily and Leah. Your insights into their complicated relationship were well thought out. It's such an ugly and sad thing, the childhood sweethearts ripped apart to leave one bitter and scorned woman. How can anyone not empathize with Leah, yet Emily is completely innocent and Sam couldn't really help the imprinting either. Interesting stuff!

Oh interesting twist. Yes, not only do I want to know who this Sebastian is, but also what has happened to Esme. Nice work!

Wow, I'm even more wrapped up in this story, although I still am confused about what is going on with Esme. You've given us interesting little clues but with every paragraph I read, the assumptions I made have been disproven! Good work!

Nice start! Owen has an interesting background, a family he is not too close to, and a lack of job prospects in a down and out economy, bringing him to Forks. Having him turn a distasteful eye towards the sign out front was a nice touch, I would have never thought of it, but it seems just like something a designer would do, seek out little projects even before they were asked.

I'm intrigued about Royce King, curious if he's the same one from Eclipse or a distant relative. Great first meeting between Owen and Jacob and Nessie. I like that you've made his character multi-faceted and flawed, a nice change from what we usually read!

Now this is an interesting chapter. Now you've got me curious about Owen and how no one can hear him / detect his future, yet we don't have any physical clues that he's part vampire or a hybrid. He ages, eats normally. Of course, he seemed to be hearing their voices almost a la Edward at the beginning, which is an interesting tidbit. I wonder if he sucks the gifts from others....

LOVED his introduction to Esme, btw, ha ha...

So now we know about Alicia, but I'm still on the fence trying to decide what I think Owen could be. He's clearly not a vampire, but then with the hearing issues, there's definitely something strange going on... you do a good job of stretching out the suspense over several chapters.

I also think you write Owen's personality in a very believable way. We see his insecurities when he's calling Alicia on the phone, just like any normal person would have, doubting whether what he said was cool or stupid.

Oh wow, this is really an interesting twist. So they are the same ones who attacked Rosalie and we've added another supernatural being to the collection: wraiths. I think you captured Owen's pain very effectively in this chapter, not only is he having to struggle with the same issues Edward did in Twilight (the lack of a soul and hating himself) but Owen is absolutely alone. He doesn't have a family to go to or others of his kind to guide him through the hard times.

For me, it's AU. I could see Rosalie or especially Edward doing what you had Carlisle do (and in fact, that's how I wrote it in my canon stories) but I don't see Carlisle killing out of vengeance. In defense of his family, absolutely, but not in cold-blooded murder.

I keep picturing that scene in Breaking Dawn where the Volturi were lined up, ready and actually capable of killing all his family including Esme (unlike Charles who was a pathetic impotent human) and Carlisle was calm, collected and didn't even raise his voice. I can't picture him running through the night in a crazy fit to kill Charles Evenson just for revenge, new feelings for Esme or not. However, the nice thing about writing is that we all get to interpret things in our own way and your version of how you see Carlisle doesn't have to be the same as mine. All can be enjoyed.

The most recent chapter was very nice to read and I liked their tense conversation in Esme's bedroom. It will be interesting to see how you finally get them together.

Good chapter! Very longing, with both Bella and Edward searching desperately for one another in their memories. I can't wait until they find each other!

Nice detailed chapter! I liked reading this "missed moment" of what we never saw in Eclipse and I thought the newborn battle was portrayed well. I had always wished that we got to see more of it even though I understood why SM couldn't since it was Bella's POV. Good!

Tee hee, I like the way you end chapters with a bang so that I have to click on the next one :-). I thought your characterization of Edward was spot on. Of course he'd be against helping Alyssa if it meant endangering Bella. I'll be interested to see if Alyssa ends up becoming a "traditional" or "vegetarian" vampire in the long run!
