*Update regarding Turn of Events*
To any and all who may be concerned, I am NOT abandoning this story. Life in general has been kicking my butt around quite a bit, lately and I am now smack in the middle of a move. (Well, that's not entirely true. I'm actually on the tail end of it, but since I'm a first class procrastinator, it's taking me a while to finish up). I was offline for a little while due to all this moving garbage, though and that didn't help things much.
Because of things being so up in the air, I don't want to post deadline dates for when chapters will be out because they could be anywhere from a couple of days apart from one another, to a couple of weeks or even a month or more and I don't want to leave anyone hanging. However, I want to assure you guys that I definitely plan to continue this story until it's completion.
I'm writing this in hopes that my readers will hang on for the rest of the ride. Don't abandon me, guys! Your input means so much more to me than I could ever express! :-)

I love to read, I love to write. I am more than a little bit Obsessive Compulsive and, therefore, it makes sense that if come across a good story, the plot-lines and characters get stuck in my head and start running all over the place.
Used to write fan-fic for the Btvs and a little Ats (Spuffy pairing) some years ago. Now I'm stuck in Twilight. I guess I have a thing for vampire stories, but since I'm fully on board with Team Jacob I guess that means I have a thing for the under-dog (eghem) as well. ;-)
I see a lot of interesting comments between the Team Edwards and the Team Jacobs on a couple of fic sites, regarding they 'why' and the 'how' so and so is for their particular team and so, for fun's sake, I'd like to ad my two-cents.
Why am I Team Jacob?
When I first started reading Twilight I fell in love with Edward's character. I thought that SM put a lot of love and creativity into him, and his charm, combined with his not-so-occasional moodiness gave him a very believable, albeit classically charming feel. And, where a lot of people weren't so fond of Bella, I really liked her. Her clumsiness, combined with her full-on belief of how plain she was, made her believable to me as well. But, with each passing book, Edward got just a little more whiny and a little more broody and didn't seem to have a whole lot of back-bone at all.
Don't get me wrong. I love a good romance. But, by the end of Eclipse, I was mad. And getting through BD was torture. Edward became so perfectly cliche that I just couldn't stomach him, anymore. I can't think of a single teenage girl that would love for her man to call her 'darling' and 'my love' on a regular basis. She created a love-able character, developed him into a complete mess and then stopped... I could go on and on, but I think you get my drift. I think SM should have found a way to wrap up the story in Eclipse.
Jacob was flawed. That's what I loved about him. He was flawed, and he was believable because he was flawed. He was a fun read, and I felt that his character development continued throughout the entire series. Plus, as I mentioned before, I'm a sucker for the under-dog.

Like a few other authors that I have found, I'm far too old for this, but love it anyway. My only hang-up is that, being a mother of a teenage girl, the whole under-age teen sex thing gives me the willies. THEREFORE, if there are to be any lemons in my upcoming fics, the characters are NOT going to be under the age of 18.

Ugh! That was beautifully written and it HURT! Poor Jake. How terrible to be in such a position. To want someone so badly and to have the opportunity to do something that you have always wanted to do but feeling, that when it is all said and done, you are going to be worse off for it... But, yet, you can't resist it, anyway.
Awesome chapter. Author's Response: Poor Jake! He really is a wonderful muse. As much as I love him, I think I love him more when he's miserable. Maybe that's just because I'm cruel by nature. I don't know...

Oh, Edward is such a prick! I had a feeling that he was there, keeping tabs on her. Oooh that's would be enough to send me into fits. Loved this chapter. I'm going to try and get through the next one before I crash out... I should have been in bed already but this is just too good to givr up. I really liked this one. I always felt that in the TS, Bella was very self centered where Jake's feelings were concerned. It was too easy for her to assume that he would always be her happy-go-lucky, tag-along friend who would forgive and forget any wrongs that she could bestow upon him, while he simply had to understand her needs to keep him at a comfortable arms distance. Though I absolutely adore this ship, I think that this was a perfect example of Bella's treatment of Jake. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story in hopes to see something change in your version of things.

Summary: What if Edward never came back, Alice never saw Bella jump from the cliff, and Jacob had his fair chance with Bella? Bella and her werewolf friends are left to defend themselves against Victoria, and Bella's life lays in Jacob's hands, in more ways than she will ever know.
FYI: Bella x Jake. . . I have read some of the raunchier stories, and I see that many of them are OOC, majorly. Bella and Jake are two inexperienced teenagers. They don't use dirty language, they don't talk nasty to each other, they don't call each other "baby." They are clumsy, they are hormonal, they make mistakes. It is rated NC-17 because there is sex. However, the sexier scenes of this story will be free of vulgarity and nasty words, and will read more like a romance novel than a porn script. Please please please review and let me know what you think!

I hated that I loved this... while loving that I hated it. Does that make any sense at all? lol Maybe I should elaborate, just to be clear.
I hated that Bella finally came to her senses too late. It was incredibly painful for me to read what she went through. But, on the other hand, as much as I was hoping for Bella's light at the end of the tunnel, I loved the realism that this story had, because in RL, people don't normally just wait around, wasting away forever.
Issi was a great character because she was believable. In some ways, she was a bit too mary-sue in the sense that she was just 'perfect' for Jacob. But, that's kind of the point, right? To Bella, she would be that perfect little witch that wiggled her cute little nose and stole her Jacob away, until at last, Bella had to come down and face herself to see that he wasn't hers to steal.
Anyway, that's my long-winded review. The story may not have ended the way that I had hoped, but if there were no surprises (and even a little angst) fan-fic wouldn't be worth reading. Thank you, so much, for the ride.

Ah, alas, I love angst. It's probably the one thing that really hooks me into a fic. If it's all pretty and happy butterflies, I have a hard time connecting with it. does that make me a sick puppy, or what? :-P
I was surprised at how quickly Jake talked to Bella, but ever so glad that he did. Now, I'm left wondering about how this is going to turn out for the two girls who love him. In the beginning, I assumed it would work out for Bella, then after a few chapters, I was certain that it wouldn't. Now, I'm completely lost, which is what I am assuming you were aiming for. So, Good job!

Sings, Feed me Seymour, feed me all night long... I haven't watched that movie in years, but something about that talking plant commanding Seymour to get him something to eat right NOW always makes me smile.
Anyway I, for one am totally stoked about what's going on, right now. Even if it does make me a meanie. However, I did notice one thing that's a little off. Most american men don't refer to themselves as wankers. Usually, the word dick or asshole comes to mind, first. But, I say this in the most constructive way because I'm absolutely loving this story, as I have told you, before. So, please don't be offended.
Love it to pieces... But, I'm approaching the end of my reading bliss, I see. I think I may cry!

*sigh* Well, as much as I wanted some resolution between Jake and Bells, I would be a liar if I said that Bella didn't deserve what she got. She treated Jake like shit for a long time. It still tears me up though. Good chapter. I'll be looking forward to the next update. Author's Response: Who says there's not going to be a resolution between Jacob and Bella?
