Summary: Picks up decades from the day in the meadow of New Moon. What if it had been Victoria who showed up, not Laurent? What if Victoria's 'plans' for Bella did not include killing her, but changing her (the one thing Edward wasn't willing to do to keep Bella safe from James.).
Bella has been living as a member of the Volturi for decades now, not able to remember her human life. What happens when she goes searching for her past and comes face to face with her mate and his family whom she has forgotten about for the past 65 years?

Great chapter. I love that she can't remember any of it. Not that I want to torture my darling Edward, but he has earned a little backlash. I am confident that he will win her love all over again. Hopefully, the more physical contact they have, her memories will be sparked. I hope she finds that she is drawn to him more and more. I SO love this story. Excellent chapter. I hope Bella starts to remember soon. Poor Edward is in Hell. He is being tortured by his past decisions. I hate to see him in so much pain! Author's Response: Ah, Edward deserves it a little. But Bella will have some good memories next chapter, and he will be there for it, so there is a reprieve from his misery. :) Thanks for the review!

This was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed their happy time! Poor Edward. She was his before he left, only his. And she would have only ever had sexual experiences with him if he has stayed with her. THat would be incredibly difficult to deal with. Why DID Bella turn her shield back on when she did? I would like to know what she was thinking at that moment.... great chapter! Author's Response: Poor Edward, indeed, but it is his own fault. Bella didn't consciously turn her shield back on, it just kind of happened when she started controlling Edward and then stayed on. She wasn't really aware that it was ever off. Anyways, thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed the chapter!

Poor Edward. He is so lost without her. I feel so badly for hime. He was trying to protect her and ended up ruining both of their lives.... I hope she remembers him. Well, I must admit, I DO love me a pantless Edward. I was thrilled that Bella was able to figure out that she wants to be with Edward. Well, that she needs to be with him, at least. They still have so much to talk about. They are in the midst of chaos and it is so hard to find some down time simply to reconnect. Hopefully, they will get snippets of that soon. Great update!! Poor Edward. Does he feel like he's betraying "his" Bella? t has to be so hard for him because he loves her no matter what. I hope she agrees to marry him. It is inevitable. She can't stay away. Great chapter! Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I don't think he feels he is betraying her. In my version, at least, he realizes she is the same person even though she has a different personality. We'll see about that marriage thing, though. haha.

Title: Chapter 10: Ignorance and the Bliss
I enjoyed this chapter so very much. It is so enjoyable to see them just be happy together. I am a little nervous about the foreboding of the next chapter. "The Dark Hour"??? Crap. I am a little bit freaking out.
I just discovered thi story and I am hopelessly devoted to it. It is brilliant!

This chapter was so emotionally gripping. I am a little freaked out by who was in the car. THat was terrifying. I was SO happy that Edward opened up to Bella about the medicine. THey need to be honest with eachother, trust one another, for them to make it through this ordeal. Excellent chapter!

Title: Chapter 3: Hope
Wow. So many questions, so many! Bella has gone through so much!!! Great update!
Summary:
Edward and Bella finally got what they always wanted: to spend eternity together. Now, their relationship is free to thrive and flourish. A very canon, very in-character, very romantic exploration of the depth of E&B's relationship as they adjust to their new life-- both Bella's new life as a vampire and Edward's as a husband. Lots of light, fluffy moments balanced by more serious ones.
It's just E&B in the first several chapters, but the rest of the Cullens show up later. The time frame is set during the summer following BD up to Edward and Bella's second wedding anniversary.
If you like canon and in-character, please have a read.

I am thoroughly enjoying this story. I love that Bella loves the old fashioned Edward, but that she is going to help modernize him as well... I am looking forward to reading how this unfolds!!! This was so sweet. I love that Bella felt the need to address Edward's rationale behind his spoiling her. He does tend to carry a lot of guilt around... I am so happy that they were able to work through some of that. Wonderful update. It is so nice to read about them simply being happy together! Author's Response: Thank you, Dulcinea! I'm so glad you feel like my description of them "simply being happy together" is still interesting! I think that's the struggle with this type of story. Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Strictly Ballroom
My favorite part was actually the bit of dialogue in which Edward asks Bella about working on her shield. I hope you go into some of that shield work in this story. I love how vulnerable he came across when he asked her. I would love to see that developed more.
The dance was hot. I love that Bella is becoming more confident in her sexuality. SHe had to push it aside for so long with Edward and it made her feel inadequate. I love that she is learning the power of her womanly charms over her husband. Great update! Author's Response: Oh yes, the shield shall be a major catalyst for the development of how B & E communicate with one another, so it's going to play a role, for sure. Love how you described E as "vulnerable" here. That is exactly the word to describe him in that moment. It's so rare that we see Edward asking Bella for something, and I love the idea that he's finally learning that it's okay--not just okay but normal and natural to a healthy relationship-- to do that.
Yes, I think one of the things I have enjoyed most about writing this story is helping Bella to develop her confidence. We didn't really see much of that internal monologue happen in BD. She just became a vampire and suddenly she was this confident person in pretty much all respects. I like to think it's a little more of a process than that. This chapter focused a lot on the development of her sexual confidence, which is something every woman-- vampire or not-- learns how to do when they/their relationship is young. And what a great insight you point out that this process is even more special for Bella in that it is redemptive for her. Yes, she had to push all of that aside for SO long!
Dulcinea, thank you for these extremely perceptive comments. Your feedback gets me thinking deeply about what themes people are picking up on and appreciating in this story, and that really helps me with writing the next chapter!
