Summary: Edward Cullen is Big Man on Campus at his high school in Port Angeles. Bella Swan is a quiet, sarcastic, marches-to-the-beat-of-her-own-drummer girl at Forks High. A part-time job brings them together, and an unlikely friendship and surprising feelings develop. Neither is brave enough to do anything about it, however, and they part ways when Edward heads off to college. Their paths cross again after a year of no contact, and Edward is determined to not only rekindle their friendship, but to man up and actually do something about his ever-present feelings for Bella.

I love this story. I am so happy for them... finally they can simply BE together. I am really going to miss them! Author's Response: I'm embarrassed it's taken me so long to respond to this review. I'm sorry. >.< I blame RL. It seems like it's settling down just in time for the holidays, and I'm off between Xmas and New Year's, so hopefully I'll be able to get this baby wrapped up before 2010 get here. I hope, at any rate. (And yes, I'll be using this apology with every review reply, so that I can tell everyone I'm sorry.)
I hope I haven't lost you as a reader with this super long delay in posting. There's still one chapter and an epilogue, and there will be two outtakes eventually, as commissioned in the Fandom Gives Back auction. So we haven't quite seen the last of these two yet! :)

I love this story. Poor Rob. She is torturing him and she doesn't truly understand that. Why would she push him away and tell him not to push it with her? I'm happy Kristen is starting to see the world more clearly. I understand why his friends are being so protective of him. He is endearing and they don't want to see him get hurt. She needs to jump in with both feet and decide with 100% certainty that his is worth whatever risk there is. She needs to take care of him and show his friends that she wants and loves him as much as he does her. Author's Response: Kristen is seeing the world much more clearly now, but seeing and doing something about it are two completely different things. The path to happiness is not always straight nor easily traversed...

Ah!!!! I can't believe you ended it there!!!! I am so thrilled that Kristen cut her ties with Mike. She seems to be finding her groove on her own now. She can see her feelings for Rob more clearly now. Nikki is a jealous bitch. I bet she will be a continuous problem for them. I am eager for more. My heart just melts at Rob. He has been so patient with Kristen. Just waiting for her, hoping. I love this story so very much!
