I thought Bella's conversation with Carlisle was sweet. I'm sure whatever Edward has planned for her birthday will be wonderful. I have to say that rounds one and two would be more than enough for me. What better gift can there be than Edward naked in the bed? Author's Response: Hey Maize and Blue,
I got teary over the Bella and Carlisle conversation so I'm glad you liked it. We could all use a Carlisle in our life.
I love how so many readers just wanted to stay indoors with Edward for their birthday-doing activities that don't involve clothes. I guess who needs sightseeing when you can play with Edward!

Title: Chapter 46: Chapter 46-The Luckiest Girl in the World
Edward did well. I don't think there was anything he could have done to make it better. His gifts were well thought out. There is nothing like a gift that means something. The massage and the extra activities after were on point obviously. Who wouldn't love that? Then to include her closest friends in the celebration was just icing on the cake. I would have to say that is a great start to the trip. I'm glad he decided to meet with his father. At some point it's just best to let things go and move on from it. Being bitter about what was doesn't do any good.

I really feel for both of them. Bella has to do what's best for her. I know he has issues but he has to be willing to work through all of his concerns if he loves her like he says he does. He needs to make the effort. She has done it enough. Author's Response: Hi Maize and Blue,

These two are so passionate and sometimes that shows in the form of their epic arguements but at the end of the day they love and support each other. I know their time apart won't be easy but I am feeling better about things. You have to write the story as you see fit. Perhaps Edward has some unresolved issues he needs to settle with her. A little closure never hurt anyone.
