I'm a part time accountant, full time wife and mommy. My hubby and I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter and a precious infant son.
I used to write incessantly back in high school and college, even going so far as to have several poems and short stories published... but life got in the way and I fell out of the habit. As with most talents, when you don't use it, you lose it. I always regretted the loss of the words...
Being on maternity leave when my son was born in March of 2009, and then having my hours cut to part time left me with a LOT of time on my insomniac hands, and I started reading all of the wonderful stories here at Twilighted.
Somewhere in a sleep deprived fog I was listening to a Heidi Newfield song and had an overwhelming desire to start writing again... and my first fanfic story idea was born. I've since started a second story, and I'm alternating back and forth on getting them written.
I'm hoping to have the first one finished and start submitting soon, but I have to go back and do a massive rewrite on three chapters because PPD kind of took the story places it wasn't meant to go.
Twilight-wise... I am an E/B girl all the way. I just realized that in everything I have written or am working on, if Nessie isn't part of the story then Jacob is the bad guy. Sorry wolf=packers... no Furry love here.
**I have a curse. I have these awesome stories, I get 20 or so chapters in and then I can't finish. Still trying. I know I promised to alert a few people if I ever got to the point of posting...**
**Well, I'm still trying to get over the speedbumbs in Unrequited, but my other multi-chapter needs massive reworking. The post partum depression that initially derailed me did too much structural damage to that story and I need to basically start over on it. I think I'll wait til after Unrequited is being posted though... It's all just a big mash in my head.**
**I think I made a breakthrough in my multi-chap! WooHoo, go me! So recap... Multi-chap that is about 75% done now, another one that is languishing until I can figure out how to fix all of the damage my PPD caused it, and three one shots that I work on when I get stuck on chapters. Good thing I only sleep three hours a night or I'd never get anything done! GO TEAM INSOMNIACS!**
PS: Just in case anybody wonders... I have a hard time reviewing a story before it's complete. I can love it with a fiery passion and still not be able to reveiw it effectively. If I'm reading a story of yours, be patient with me... you'll hear from me at some point I promise!!!!!!

Special Update:
For personal reasons (a ridiculously full teaching schedule and being recently put in charge of a bi-annual local conference and ongoing project), I am no longer able to reply to reviews and questions. But that said, I wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to EVERYBODY for the wonderful feedback and kind words that have been sent my way since the completion of this story in August 2009. I do still check my messages about once every 1-2 weeks and read *every* review. I see all of the reviews that say "but they love each other"... Yeah? And?
Love isn't always enough. I loved my ex with everything in me, but we couldn't have built a successful long term relationship no matter how hard we tried.
It takes work, and Edward hasn't shown any willingness to do the work required to get over his issues.
I wouldn't go back to that situation.

I was thinking drunk driving or somthing, but that would have shown on a driving abstract. Underage where they couldn't readily pull the record?
Summary: Edward couldn't bear to watch his beloved Bella being torn apart from the inside by his baby… so how might things have turned out for our favourite couple if he had taken the steps to ensure Bella’s survival, rather than let his spawn kill her. Very dark, Angsty little 'what if' story.

Wow. I sat and read straight through in one sitting, because I knew due to my own experiences with losing a baby and having it almost kill our marriage that I wouldn't be able to come back if I'd stopped.
I'm glad I stuck with it though, definitely worth the crying and sadness.
I would completely love to see a sequel where JJ could stomp some Volturi hind ends. Author's Response: Ahh honey, I'm very sorry for your loss. I've been through several miscarriages, and then when i finally sustained a pregnancy full term, my partner and i seperated after my daughter was born with a severe congenital heart defect, so my whole idea of writing such a tragic story was to help myself deal with, and work through some of the pain. It's been the most amazing form of therapy that i ever could have done... I've surprised myself... and i have had several readers like yourself who have been in a similar situation, and i am so thrilled that i could have helped other people with my writing too.

I am one of the take it or leave it types when it comes to BDSM, so usually I'll start a story and if it doesn't immediately grab my attention I don't finish it. I think I may have actually fully read all of 4 or 5 BDSM pieces on here, so congratulations for being able to write everything without making the dominance seem to gratuitous or forced.

Please ignore the people who can't find it within themselves to keep quiet when they have nothing constructive to say. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself and your writing out for public critique, and OF COURSE your real life has to rate above your fanfiction writing time!
This is one fo the reasons I decided I wouldn't publish anything that wasn't already 100% written. I don't need to come back after something major happens to find the people in my computer yelling at me for daring to live my life instead of updating.
Fanfic authors are people too! We have kids. We have jobs. We have family lives, and we have things pop up and demand our undivided attention sometimes. Yes, we love writing and sharing, but that is a small part of our time compared to everything else we have to do.
Leave this girl some love, people. She's writing a good story, she deserves the warm fuzzies! I've had this story on my fav list for months, and it stays there until I read THE END.

It would actually make a fantastic stand alone book if you ever wanted to change the character names and try to get it published when it's finished. The plot is well developed and captivating.

My feet somehow carried me out of the dorm room and down the hall. I couldn't stop long enough to answer Alice's frantic questions as I ran, I just had to go and explain later. I didn't want to get sick in our room bathroom, I wanted to maintain some level of privacy while I indulged myself in the unscheduled nervous breakdown.
The bathroom door flew open when my palm smacked against it. I found the nearest toilet and got straight to business. I was sobbing, heaving my body towards the white porcelain bowl that most college kids seemed to worship for vastly different reasons than I was right now. I heard the door open and close behind me, but once my stomach was empty, I just sat there. I let all of my previously held hopes and dreams out in the form of tears, for what felt like hours.
