Howdy! I'm Miki *points above* and I'm a Twilight/Edward/Jasper/smutty fic-aholic. *listens to chourus of "Hi, Miki"* I'm fairly new to the whole world of Twilight (I think I started the first book a few months ago), but I've jumped in head first. Acutally, I more did a cannon ball into the pool, but all the same. Right now I've got a one shot that's being edited and two chaptered fics I'm working ont (like I said, cannon ball), so you should be able to read what I do some time soon. Hopefully. *fingers crossed*
I am all for cannon pairings and storys, but like to delve into AU from time to time. And while I am hard core Team Edward, once in a while I'll write or read a little something that's Team Jacob. Normally I'm not so wishy washy, but those boys do bring it out in me. hehe
As for me, I'm 23, married, and working on going back to college so that I can one day teach snoby teenagers the joys of Math. Really, I'd rather teach them the joys of English, but NY is about chock full of English teachers. I love Math and English (almost) equally, so hence my choice.
I am obsessed with Twilight (obviously), Harry Potter, House of Night, knitting, chrocheting, House (though I drool over Chase and Wilson more than House), and those crazy science shows that tell you why time doesn't exist. I think if I watch one more show about the theory of realitivity my husband is going to cut the cable cord. hehe

Summary:  You know those fics where Edward doesn't come back and Bella forgets about him and five seconds later she's in bed with Jacob and none of it makes any damn sense?
Yeah, this isn't one of them.
This story picks up from the moment in New Moon when Jacob has driven Bella home after the cliff diving incident, right before he catches the scent of Alice. Only in this telling, Alice wasn't looking, so there's no sudden appearance at Bella's house, no Rosalie calling Edward and sending him on a suicidal mission to Volterra, and no reason for Bella to do anything but believe that Edward didn't love her anymore. This is simply a story of what might have happened if everyone stayed mostly in character and Edward's return was delayed. Yes, delayed. Because we all know that he was "this close" to coming back on his own anyhow.
So what would have happened if Bella had tried to move on with her life? Would she have found happiness with Jacob? And would Edward be too late?

Gosh. Poor Jake, and poor Bella. It's just so heartbreaking, that he doesn't know what's going on, and neither does she, really. Although, now that I think about it, it was good this happened. It will give them a chance for some much needed Edward talking, clear the air, and let them get on with their relationship. Author's Response: Exactly! I had it written out, delayed posting it, and those couple of days made me re-think and ultimately re-write the whole thing. I don't like writing sad Jake :(

Loved! Here we were all speculating as to who was going to imprint on whom, and it's an imprint we already knew about. Way to freak up out.
I'm assuming the shopping is Jake's way of getting Bella out of town long enough for him to cook. Can't wait to see what we missed with the whole Carlie/Jacob/newspaper thing.
Oh, and you really have to update more. I mean, we're only getting two updates a week. Don't you know every story updates so much more than that? Sheesh. What about daily updates? Oh, ooo, hourly? Who needs to work, or eat, or sleep? ;) I'm a smartass, I know.

Title: Chapter 1: One Shot: Blushing and Nose Pinching
*gigglesnort* There's nothing like good satire. hehe I've noticed too many people take those things to the extreme, you know? Jasper needs to block his thoughts? He doesn't translate the script from Hello Dolly into ancient Japanese (though that would be too funny!), he goes through lists of Civil War Generals. Em is a bumbling baffoon, Bella is uber broody, Edward the only one who rivals her, and Alice is a flitty nimwhit who shops far too often. *shakes head* Thanks for writing this. Perfection.
Summary: 
Four weeks before her wedding to Edward, Bella is frustrated. She knows there's little-to-no chance of getting him to bend his rules and boundaries now, but there's no harm in fantasizing about what could happen later. So she begins compiling a list of things that she and Edward can do together once they're happily married. She's surprised to find she might be able to cross some things off earlier than she thought...

Okay, this doesn't seem fair, it's your birthday and we get the gift. hehe I love this story to bits, but I agree, this seems like the natural ending. Just remember, you can always do a couple companion one shots here and there (please!). For instance, them working through the remaining items on Bella's list (sex during a thunderstorm, or spanking w/o holding back. guh). Or even some of Edward's list (could we see that, by the way?)

Title: Chapter 27: Epiclogue: A Million Tomorrows
I loved it, of course, as I loved this entire story. I loved destroying the cabin (complete with the applause) and the Christmas gift.
Good luck with your original work. I know how hard it is to write something original, and it takes a lot of guts to send it out. My advice to you, don't get discouraged. Keep sending, no matter how many rejection letters you get. I read somewhere that most people get 30 rejection letters before they get that one acceptance letter. You must tell us when you're a New York Times best selling author, so we can all go buy your book.
I look forward to reading the sequel. There are still soooo many things I want to see happen.
Summary: Edward is a lonely vampire who has been waiting for over eighty years to find his soul mate. His sister Alice has never been able to see his true love, but for good reason--she hadn't been born yet. When Alice finally sees her, plans are made to finally make Edward's dream come true.
This is a different version of Twilight, and it's told from Edward's point of view.
A little lemony, but not too graphic. Rated NC-17 for mature themes and language, and possibly for violence in later chapters.

I didn't read his actions as "ooo, I want to make sweet love to little babies" type, but more like the imprinting. I mean, sure, it did seem kind of creapy, but let's be honest, Edward can be a little creapy, once you look past the dazzling aspects.
