Oh," Jacob hesitates. "I just figured the way he acted around you the other night and how you were going to his party that maybe you guys were..." He trails off.

"Well, no." I clarify. "We are only biology partners."

"OH! I get," he nearly shouts. "Like benefriends."

"WHAT?!" I yell, "NO!" I pull the phone away from my ear and press the TALK button to end the call.

The phone rings again.

"No Jacob! That is NOT what is going on between Edward and I, AT ALL, you perv!"

"Bella?" Edward's voice asks.

So my question becomes, why didn't Edward just call Bella right back and tell her that he forgot about his dad's birthday; Bella did let him choose the day afterall.

Obviously I just wanted everyone to tweak out a little...haha...of course that's what he'd do, but I thought I'd just everyone sweat a little.

Next chapter everything is worked out...LOL

I am so glad that I stumbled onto this story. It has to be one of the best if not THE best meadow scene from Edward's POV that I've ever read. You brought Edward to life, his love and desire for Bella, his conflict, and you did it beautifully. I do not often give a story five out of five starts, in fact I'm not sure if I have before, but you have it here. Thank you for a wonderful story.
