Summary: Edward is a lonely vampire who has been waiting for over eighty years to find his soul mate. His sister Alice has never been able to see his true love, but for good reason--she hadn't been born yet. When Alice finally sees her, plans are made to finally make Edward's dream come true.
This is a different version of Twilight, and it's told from Edward's point of view.
A little lemony, but not too graphic. Rated NC-17 for mature themes and language, and possibly for violence in later chapters.

Title: Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Play
Liked it? No, I loved it! I especially loved Carlisle's telling of the relationship between mated vampires, especially ones that are both of creator and singer. I actually wish S. Meyer had incorporated something like that in BD. Wonderful angle.

Ok, first....FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC chapter! The suspense is killing me! UGH!
Now, I vote for a SEQUEL! I don't think I have patience for a BPOV of all of this. Edward's POV is ALWAYS the more interesting one, so perhaps if you had first done Bella's THEN Edward's, then it would be different. But really I'd just love an EPOV sequel.

Title: Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Worth the Wait
I am almost speechless. I've loved this from the very beginning. Over the course of the story, I have become attached to this incredibly. And so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving this such a BEAUTIFUL ending. And I also thank you for choosing to continue this with a sequel. I don't think I would have fared well in parting with this story. The romance of it all is simply staggering. And so addictive. God speed in your writing, Dear. Title: Chapter 2: Imaginary Friend
I love your character development here. It’s crucial to your story and I appreciate the effort you’re putting into fully rounding out the characters. I love the flashback of Bella and “Fred”. Very sweet.
I can’t wait for more. This is so original that I’m truly excited about it! Please post more asap! Author's Response: THANK YOU SO MUCH for your insight into my character development. I want this to be quality, and I don't feel like I can do this successfully without giving you the real meat behind the characters. I hope that i'm doing a good job so far!!!
Fred is my favorite, but jealous Edward is my second favorite... hint, hint... Bella goes on a date. :-D It's adorable. But it's all in Bella's POV. I don't know if i'm going to do any others in this story. I might get one or two Edward POV's much later in the story, but I promise that these upcoming chapters will be memorable.
I'm going to update next week. That is, i'm going to send the next chapter out to the validation BETA probably in the middle of the week next week, so hopefully it'll be out by friday! Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your opinions. It stimulates my writing, honestly! Thank you for your review! It's always a joy to read something insightful and endearing!

I just discovered this masterpiece today. And in ONE sitting, I read ALL 22 chapters! I cried more than I can ever remember crying over a fanfiction.
I know you're coming to the end of this, but I just HAD to tell you just how AMAZINGLY beautiful your writing is. My heart ached the entire length of the story. My tears ran freely, yet in silence. The anguish was horrifying, the violence mind jolting, and the devotion between B&E...blissful.

BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!
Just when I became so incredibly sad that this was the end, and just when you confused the hell out of me with that last "abandoned building in Seattle" bit, my heart JUMPED FOR JOY at reading that you are going to do a sequel!
Well of course you are! This is BEGGING for more! How much more does Bella recover? What about her change? Do B&E marry first? Will there be a baby? Will Jake return to haunt B&E again? Oh the possibilities!
I congratulate from the bottom of my heart for having written something so incredibly profound and moving. A DARKER SHADE OF TWILIGHT was more than just a fanfiction. It was a beacon of hope for all those who have had to endure anywhere near the kind of trauma Bella did in this story. It was inspirational and moving. You couldn't have written it any more beautifully.
Again, my dear, BRAVO!!!!!
