Like it? No. I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. I swear I just got the chills remembering ""You're mine, Bella... forever... I'll never... baby, I'll never want anyone else.".

Thank you so much for writing something as beautiful as this. You did your story a great justice.

I LOVED IT.

Now that I have a second to write you, I HAVE TO THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the amazing number of updates this had in like a day! It took me quite a while to catch up, and I'm so sorry I didn't review each and every chapter. I just kept on reading and reading like one long enormous post. So please accept my apology and allow me the honor of reviewing:

I absolutely love this story. B&E's relationship is so realistic that it's a refreshing change from some out there that just scream disbelief. I love how Edward is so desperate for Bella, as she is for him.

And now I am completely horrified for our poor Bella, being forced to endure the unbearable scrutiny of Edward's world.

I hope you update soon as after so many chapter reads I'm going through a bad case of withdrawal! LOL!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and now pray you have a Happy New Year!

Sigh. I'm gonna read it again.

Sigh.

Date: December 23, 2009 Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 13

This was a wonderfully emotional and powerful chapter. You make it incredibly easy to imagine and understand what the life of a young wife was like with a husband in the military, particularly back in the 1940s when options for women were much more limited.

Edward's harsh outburst towards Bella was truly heart breaking and jarring. I physically felt it and instantly fell more in love with this story. That one scene brought forth a supplication from Edward that was honest, sincere, and disarming. His desperation for Bella is at odds with his sense of duty, and I for one am begging you for the EPOV of that final scene.

I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response:

Edward is truly having a difficult time balancing his life with Bella with his military responsibilities. That he is forbidden from talking to her about it is tearing him apart. She's his best friend and the person he's closest to in the world and he wants nothing more than to unburden himself to her.

These kids are so young and so much in love and it breaks my heart that they're having such a difficult time with their marriage, especially knowing that had there been no war, they would be blissful with each other.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the EPOV. Oddly enough, I think I'm more comfortable writing Edward in general. Go figure. Unplanned, The onshot I wrote from EPOV, came much easier to me than any chapter of FH.

Thank you for reading and for taking the time to review.

I only just discovered this story and am so grateful that I did. I went back and read your INFAMY, and in doing so coming to appreciate FINDING HOME all the more.

This chapter was positively heart breaking. I cried with Bella, and I loved every minute of it.

Will you consider doing an EPOV chapter? Perhaps an EPOV story to accompany this one? Your writing is so beautiful that I am certain the Edward's pov would be devastingly wonderful. Please consider it.

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you like my story so far. Nice reviews like this make the time I spend writing more than worth it.

The EPOV question is a tough one for me to answer, but I will say this. This is Bella's story. If an EPOV fits in with how I need to tell her story, then I'll do it. Otherwise, the story will be from her perspective.

Thanks for takin gthe time to read and review.

I'm so glad you found this outtake a satisfying end to the story. There is hope, and something beautiful, I think, in the imperfection of their lives. They love each other and despite what they've been through, that's what will get them through anything life hands them in the future.

Now on a more practical note, I am of the camp that understands Edward's need to unload his guilt via email. What other choice does he have? She won't talk to him. I support him in his confession, although I am certain it will devastate Bella all the same. I pray a phone conversation arises from this exchange. Something, please.

But I must say that I really hope it doesn't take months or, God forbid, years, as one reviewer put it, for E&B to get better and reunite. That would be just pure torture for all parties involved, ourselves included.

Btw, thank you for making my heart stop with the opening scene of Edward naked in bed while someone not-Bella was brewing coffee in the kitchen....my heart broke, but then went wild with joy when Alice came through the door. SWEET RELIEF!

Godspeed, Darlin'.

I can't say much, Edward. My senses are muddled along with yours, my heart up in arms at the reality of desolation and devastation.

There isn't much to say, only this: to hold her, you have to let her go. Such is the way of things.

And all you can do now is weather the storm, ride out it's turbulent and pounding waves, and pray for it's mercy.

Close your eyes and pray.

The doubt was enough.

It was enough, Edward. Enough to threaten your sanity, enough to risk your happiness, enough to jeopardize her heart. But you rebelled against it, and in doing so, you have achieved salvation.

Yes, you should've first worried about her. No, you should not have doubted her love and devotion...ONCE AGAIN. But you did. And while that will and should make you feel guilty and ashamed, you should instead revel in the fact that you fought temptation...and WON.

Your instincts no longer pushed you to weakness and abandonment, but rather guided you to redemption and introspection.

You won, Edward. Your soul won.

She is not lost.

She is still yours, as you are hers.

Victory.

I am so excited about this story. Not only is it authored by 2 of my all time favorite writers, but it's already got it all: intrigue, humor, emotion, and longing. All the fixings for one hell of an epic love story.

Everything is so wonderfully descriptive and detailed, that I have absolutely no difficulty in imagining a 'chubby 14 year old Edward'. And that's saying something! LOL!

LOL on Chubward!  We so love him and we're glad he's believeable!  There is something about seeing Edward as flawed in any way that makes him so ... real.  Which makes the entire story more real.

We'll have the Bella chapter out next week!

What I think was most ingenius about your writing was the fact that your first chapter gave us a very interesting and harsh glimpse at B&E's future. With every subsequent word, I remember that pivotal scene where Edward sees Bella again, all beautiful and sensual, and Bella sees Edward, all gorgeous and divine. In choosing to give us that brief glimpse into their future, you enabled us to experience both hope and, at the same time, lament for what is undoubtedly to become a passionate yet heartbreaking relationship.

I love every single word and cannot wait for more.

Author's Response:

Wow.  How eloquently put?  That is a lot of what we wanted you to see.  The hope of what they become, and the shame of what they became.  What could have been, did become and what could still happen.  No where near as concise, but we're glad we got the point across!

We're so glad you are reading and reviewing!

“Euphoria. She was untouched.  I could be her only. Mine.”

To own and be owned is one of the greatest things a person can experience, so long that you own the very being who owns you in return. Such completion is a miracle in itself. It gives a life purpose, a reason for being, and an answer to every question that rumbles beneath one’s surface.

Fate can take hold of one’s path in life, twist it, bend it, very nearly break it so that it’s will is made permanent, etched into the fabric of one’s experiences, successes, and even follies. At times it seems cruel in the pain it inflicts, the agony it lays bare before you. As you wander through life, it is these agonies that often shape the people we become, the shapes our souls take, yielding to fate’s every push and pull. But it is not until something wonderful happens, not until we experience true wonder and awe at a turn of events in our lives that force us to bow to fate’s design and applaud it’s role in our happiness, that we revel in fate’s existence at all. We become blind, deaf, and dumb to the reason for why things happen at all. Especially that which brings us pain and grief.

But beyond the pain, beyond the hurt, and beyond the despair, one’s true purpose lays in waiting….waiting to be claimed.

First comes the why. Then follows the how. But it is the journey in reaching the answers to our purpose that true discovery and majesty can be found.

Euphoria. Just when you least expect it.

Author's Response:

Aww Isabel, your reviews so totaly own my ass.  You spout poetic and I am all mush.

You see it so clearly, that he seeks her for completion and hopes that she might want him in return, that maybe she has only ever wanted him.  Whereas he tried to fill the void she left, she let the void fill her, and maybe then can heal each other and get past this.

Thank you so much!

Another glorious chapter. I loved just how emotional and intense it was. Edward's reaction to Bella's desperate cry for help was moving and inspiring. It also filled me with hope for the direction in which this story is heading.

I especially found Charlie's plea to Edward heart breaking and devastating. That was a beautifully written scene and I applaud you for it.
