This story is now COMPLETE!
Dark Side of the Moon is my version of New Moon from Edward’s point of view. Witness how Edward agonized over leaving Bella, hunted for Victoria, faced the Volturi, and came to realize that with Bella was where he was meant to be.
This tormented story has been a part of my life for about a year and a half – and what a ride it’s been! Meant to be canon and in character, I hope you enjoy angsty Edward and his suffering during New Moon. As unhappy as Bella was during this time, Edward suffered so much more (I think). So be sure and crack open a fresh box of tissues before reading!
Thank you to everyone for all the reviews, especially to those of you who reviewed each and every chapter! Your support and loyalty have been the driving force to me getting this project finished – and I hope it’s lived up to all of your expectations.

Hey, I just had a random thought.
Obviously, you've read midnight sun. And so you know that Edward kept the infamous bottle cap. Right? Right.
So why doesn't he have it now? I mean, would he not have even allowed himself to keep that little bit of her? Or... did I miss something earlier in the fic?
You are still brilliant. I still think you are Stephenie Meyer in disguise. Author's Response: hahaha - yup, you missed it, though I didn't name the bottle cap specifically (I don't think). When he was packing to leave (I think that was in Domestic Disturbance) he sees the box of trinkets he has squirreled away in his closet and decides he doesn't need more things to remind him of Bella. He leaves it behind.
SM has said that he also took something from Bella's room, but the item has never been identified (to my knowledge). Now, for my opinion...
I have trouble understanding why Edward would keep something like that. Because he has such perfect memory, and so few possessions in general, I wouldn't think that something like that bottle cap would mean much. But, it's part of who he is, so, there it is... 8-)

Yup, the day he asked her the question, she did say topaz - because his eyes were topaz that day. Edward remembers her words, but in his lonely state, he mixes them up. And his eyes were definitely onyx when he recalled that question. (a twist on the 'in two weeks I'd say onyx' response). His memories are playing tricks on him. For a guy who thinks he has no soul, he's really attached to hers!
And, if I'm SM, then the zeroes on my bank statement are in the WRONG place! 8-)

Okay, so i read this for the first time a week ago, and all i could manage for the review was the babbling mess of ohmygodohmygodohmygod. So this is my real review.
You are absolutely amazing. I have no idea where you found the depth and pain and love to write this, but you SO pulled it off. i'm still in awe of you, and i loved how you included a bible verse. (in fact, i might steal the concept, if not the same verse). but this was truly fantastic. i cried so badly the first time i read this, and i wasn't even PMSing.

I'm not sure where my inspiration comes from. I'm fortunate enough to have found my soul mate, so I'd like to think that I can relate to Edward in that way (even if he doesn't believe he has a soul...yet... 8-). And I'm certain that Edward's read many religious texts during his long life, if only to be able to debate Carlisle. I'd guess he could quote lots of different texts, in any number of languages.

Excellently excellent, as usual....
It's not Jacob in the woods with Edward now, is it? But that wouldn't fit the rest of the story... if it was Jacob, then Edward would know about... a lot more than he did in the chapter "The Truth," and nothing Jacob told him in that scene in Eclipse where he comes to the high school would have surprised Edward. So who is it, then?
Alice has nothing left to say at this point, so I don't think it's her. I doubt it's Rosalie. Emmett can't have anything more to add, either. My money's on Jasper, but I'm probably wrong.
I love you so much for sharing your magnificent talent with us. I only wish that I could write as well as you. Unfortunately, it's impossible to give this story a rating higher than 5 stars, so I'll add some extra ones here:
