They got worse when the annoying voice materialized at the back of her consciousness, and took over her body from time to time.
And things totally went to hell when she discovered that she'd been injected with metal by the government to turn her into a supersoldier.
Sometimes, life just sucks.

Title: Chapter 1: Pain
Now I admit I love XMen, but in a movie kind of way and not the comics. So I'm a little confused in the double personality thing going on but that's okay. I admit I kind of like the mental image of Bella showing Edward her new accessories and then beating the crap out of him. I'm curious who the femslash will be. I take it this isn't a E/B fic then?
Author's Response:
Nah, not E/B. I mean, I like Edward and Bella being together, yada yada ye. But sometimes edward is a royal prick. Femslah pairing...well you'll just have to find out. And it is more of a movie crossover yes.
Set in the month of June after Twilight. For Edward’s birthday Carlisle arranges for Edward to take Bella to the Symphony in Seattle, with him and Esme as chaperones, of course. As Edward and Bella explore their present relationship and Edward’s past, Carlisle and Esme struggle to understand what impact Bella will have on Edward’s future.
This is an Edward/Bella story, but it concentrates on the changing dynamic of the relationship between Carlisle and Edward.
I really like the idea of exploring the changing relationship between C/E. Other than Alice, I always envision Edward having a close relationship with Carlisle and that's kind of it. Being the first turned also makes for a different dynamic, I think, between them. I kind of imagine that Edward fell into the role of son pretty easily with Carlisle, but with Bella now in the picture things do indeed change as he finally "grows up".
Thanks for writing!
Author's Response:
You're welcome! And yeah, it's a rough time for Carlisle too. Poor Carlisle.
I'm totally agreeing with you on the Brad Pitt thing. But I take it one further and say that Brad Pitt isn't that hot to me. Don't know why, he's just okay to me.
Wow, Edward kind of seems like he's being tortured with the whole birthday thing. Between the mindreading of Esme's ecstatic thoughts and the whole uncomfortableness of the parental units being there, is this actually a good time for him or is it more just the novelty of the situation that they are enjoying? After all, ennui is probably the biggest enemy of theirs.
I gotta agree with Bella - having strangers unpack my stuff would be just weird to me. I don't care if they get paid for it, I don't want someone else touching my things!
Thanks for the update!
Author's Response:
Thanks for reviewing!
Tortureward, yeah. :D I remember the first time my now-husband and I hung out with my parents. So awkward, even if you are a vampire, parents will be parents. C&Es will give E&B some alone time in later chapters, promise.
There are pros and cons to luxury for sure. A porter putting my underwear away? Definitely a con.
Bella wakes as a newborn vampire with no memories of her past. She knows not who she is, where she is or who the people she just killed are. Lost, alone and disgusted with herself she runs until she finds herself in a weakened state and unable to move.
She is lost but may find her place sooner then she thinks.

Title: Chapter 1: Lost and Found one-shot
I'm a huge sucker of stories in which Bella becomes a vampire before meeting Edward, and I just love the idea of the two of them having an instant connection when meeting. It's kind of twisted of me I guess but this kind of made the romantic side of me swoon. The whole Edward swooping in and saving her, I guess.
Isabella Swan has begun to notice changes in her body - strange, unlikely occurances that are accompanied by horrific bouts of pain.
And when Edward Cullen - miles away and living a stagnant life after leaving the only one he has ever loved - gets a frantic call from Alice, he must rush back to Forks. His next descision will change the course of their lives.
Will Bella be able to forgive Edward for breaking her heart? And when a not-so-new threat meets her eye to eye, Bella is finally strong enough to fight for herself - but will she be able to win?
AU-New Moon. Canon pairings. Rated for gore, intense scenes, and eventually some hot vampire lovin'.

Title: Chapter 2: Splitting
Just found this story, wow! Very intense suffering you've got going on. So all it takes is for Bella to be splitting open like an overripe melon to change her without an argument. I can't believe Bella managed to survive all that by herself. But where is the rest of the Cullens? Surely Alice wouldn't sit idly by after those visions?
Thanks for writing!
Author's Response:
Ahhh, darling! First, thank you for reading!
Second, all your questions will be answered very, very soon. ;D
Thanks again!

Title: Chapter 3: Days
Wow, 5 days. If I remember it takes longer when there's more damage to heal? Poor Edward must have been going out of his mind. I'm curious as to why Alice couldn't see what was happening, that is weird.
Thanks for the update!
Author's Response:
Thank you!

Title: Chapter 4: Learning
Thanks for the clarification on the beginning, I have to admit I was totally confused. Stupid me.
I'm glad to see that Bella doesn't forgive Edward completely in the beginning. Bella suffered horrifically. I cannot imagine how she managed to survive all that she did with her sanity intact. Having said that, the whole hunt/pounced on by Edward thing was hot. Methinks Edward has left his self-control behind a tree somewhere, and didn't even realize he dropped it.
Thanks for the update!
Author's Response:
I wanted it to be cryptic, and I guess it worked! ;D
She did - and I wanted her to be stronger than SM's version. So she's not going to forgive Edward completely . . . yet. Doesn't mean there can't be some hot stuff peppered in, right? ;D And yes, his control slipped quite a bit, huh?
Thank you for reading!

Title: Chapter 6: Core
Huh, that was unexpected - Victoria, huh? I'm glad you updated, btw! It's a different premise to the canon storyline that is very interesting and I like different. I kind of wish Bella hadn't forgiven Edward so quickly though, I'm just like that. Bella's a lot nicer than me. As much as I hate the pain that Charlie and her mom are going through, I really don't see how calling them and telling them she's okay but she's not going to be seeing them anytime soon is all that great either. Charlie's not going to just give up looking for her, he's going to assume she's in trouble, into drugs, whatever. As a cop who knows how a lot of runaways turn out, he's got all the worst case scenarios running through his head. I know Bella's not a runaway exactly, she's an adult, but Charlie's not going to see her like that. Not with the way she's left. And, if she WERE to contact them, considering the coverage it's already gotten nationwide, then there's going to be the publicity of a false search for another stupid teenager and all the wasted resources, etc. Kind of like the balloon boy. It will only give bad publicity to her dad and make him look like a bad father and an inept police chief. Heck, there will probably be MORE news coverage over the false search, because that's just how the press and people are like. Looking at the situation logically, I'd think it would be better for him to believe she is dead, unfortunately.
The Cullens move to a new school, in a new state, with new students. Edward is… pretty much a nerd. Dweeb, Geek, Turd, Loser. Whatever you wanna call him. Bella isn’t. She already goes to Forks High. Well-known, actually. Not your average Nerdy Edward/Slutty Bella fanfic. Originality is all over, babe. So read.
Thank you to ebonyy and PosionousGarden! (: original two inside. this one is just to perfect.
I have to admit, that Alice seemed rather harsh to Edward. It's just that I grew up with my sister and it was a huge no-no to say something like that to her, or anything derogatory to each other. I know some siblings do it all the time, it just freaks me out to see it.
I'll be curious to see what kind of Bella you have. Hopefully someone who won't take one look at Nerdward and go running for the hills...
Author's Response:
My Ailce is a teeny OOC. Not much, though. She suffered under the first day stress just as much as Edward. It's just not that easy to tell...
It's been 25 years after Edward left Bella. Now that the Cullens have reunited with Bella they are suprised to find that she is not running back into their open arms. Instead Bella tells them her story of how her life took a tragic turn after they left.
"Bella, can we just go back to the way things were?" Alice pleaded.
I wouldn't lie to her. "No."

Title: Chapter 2: Grace
Ahhh, so she's a vampire! I was wondering how she managed to get a job already otherwise. Now things make more sense! I really like the idea of Bella being more cautious and not willing and ready to throw herself into the arms of the Cullens. The fact she's a vampire now is just a bonus. I wonder at the name, did she just pick it randomly?
Thanks for the update!
Author's Response:
Hi! Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you like Bella so far. I hope she doesn't disappoint. The name Grace isn't random;) It'll be brought up again in a couple of chapters.
Well, I have to admit I'm a little disappointed to not get more of the story, but it does sound like Bella actually fell in love with someone else. She doesn't say whether it was a family kind of love or a lover kind of love. If that makes sense. Hmm.
Thanks for the update!

Title: Chapter 3: The Cullens
Well, I'm sort of impressed. With that one sentence Bella managed to completely crush Edward, I'm sure. It was the mental equivalent of ripping out his dead heart and doing a Mexican hat dance on its ashes. Bella seems really mellow here. Like, no emotions really. It's kind of freaky.
Thanks for the update!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much for your review! "the mental equivalent of ripping out his dead heart and doing a Mexican hat dance on its ashes" that's hilarious and well said. Bella's emotions are kinda all over the place she's feeling conflicted. I hope it's not too freaky;( I hope you enjoy the future chapters.

Title: Chapter 9: My Alice
Well this addresses the unresolved business with Alice. I'm glad to know that at least Alice didn't see things that happened afterwards and just didn't do anything about it. It's sad enough she saw Bella's breakdown and didn't do anything. I'm curious how Ava has managed to operate under the Volturi's radar when it seems like she is doing what Aro does.
Edward Cullen was a loner, an outcast. He clearly hated everybody, including himself. He was not a nice person. So, why was I so drawn to him? And why did I get the crazy feeling he felt the same way?
WARNING: This story will deal with the aftermath of child abuse and rape. If that bothers you too much, I strongly recommend that you don’t read.

I love that Edward is trying even without Bella there. It's great progress. It was hilarious about the Rocky Road ice cream, and actually absolutely true about not giving Bella any that Emmett had drooled over. Sorry, but my brain immediately went there and I was all, "ew" thinking of it. I was relieved when Edward thought of it too. I don't mind sharing with my hubby or my sister but no way am I eating someone else's. It's like double dipping. Just don't do it.
Edward is going to have to deal with his burgeoning sexual desires at some point. I'm actually not looking forward to that, which is a first. I'm paranoid of what it's going to do to him. He's going to freak, I'm thinking, once he realizes what it is he's feeling.
I'm so relieved at the relatively easy aftermath. It worried me a bit. The thing about the semen, just made me so sad. How many times did Edward have to clean himself up afterwards, dealing with the disgust and pain by himself? It's no wonder he associated with it negatively.
It makes me happy that Edward finally got to experience an orgasm though. I can't help but wonder how he's going to react in the morning, both of them practically naked and his morning wood making itself known. Potential for another good time.
Oh no. Well, this may be the wakeup call that Edward needs to get the help he needs. I'm an optimist sometimes. Victoria is starting to freak me out and we haven't even seen her yet. She sounds like the devil already. The talk with Emmett was so full of promise, it made my heart ache to see the two of them so cautious yet in their hearts just a little bit hopeful. One day Emmett's going to find out what Edward had been through, and when he does, I think that will change him a bit.
I'm glad that it's Emmett that is talking to Edward about this. As someone that is a peer and not an adult, and also a male, it is much easier for him to believe Emmett, I think. I had this mental image of the two of them in Edward's bedroom, talking, while reading that scene. I could just picture Edward's body language as he lay there, and Emmett looking at him and seeing how defensive and yet defenseless he is.
I don't blame Edward at all for being terrified. Therapy means having to trust someone you don't know, and only see once a freaking week. It's not the easiest thing in the world. Doesn't help that Edward already has a bad experience under his belt with the previous therapist. I love the idea of the two of them doing something fun afterwards. Very good idea. It's a reward system.
It makes me so sad to see Edward constantly beating himself up like this. He is so convinced he can't do anything right by Bella, and berates himself for every little thing he says or doesn't say. So sad.
Well, okay, this was worse than if Victoria was James' wife. I am so not liking her. WTF was that? I'm totally paranoid and wondering if she had an ulterior motive for springing that crap at Edward at the beginning instead of the end.
That was kind of a horrible thing to say to Jessica, I gotta say. I mean, she genuinely likes the lying jerk, which goes to show how poor her judgment is, but I'm willing to bet it genuinely hurt her feelings for Bella to say that. It was an accident, I know, but it was harsh. If it had been on purpose, I would have said it was a masterful stroke of a sentence-it manages to belittle her date, put Jessica's desirability in question, and make Bella seem like she feels superior all at once. Hopefully the fallout won't be disastrous. Just a bad day so far.
I knew that there was going to be something bad, and somewhat similar with Edward's past, but that's just horrible. The fact they got away with it, makes my stomach churn. Even if everyone thought Sam went along with it, it's still statutory rape because of his age though. I suppose being Indian reservation, the laws are different though. At least that's my understanding. That he accidentally hurt Emily like that, it's an unbelievable love for her to have forgiven him. Especially if she didn't know about his past beforehand, I'm kind of assuming.
Well, I'd love to hear why Edward doesn't want to go, or doesn't think he should go. Thsi should be interesting. Not sure how I feel about Bella blabbing about Emmett's private life. I know that if the tables were turned, she wouldn't like other people talking about her. But yeah, there's nothing she wouldn't do for Edward, and I can understand that.
