Wow, Edward sure did freak. But it's rather in character, truly, and I'm surprised it's never occurred to someone before. It seems so obvious now! Lol. Bella's inner monologue is hilarious at times, really enjoying it and her seesawing emotions.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Actually, I'm surprised there aren't other fics out there on the same topic too. I prefer the books, but actually got the idea from the movie - in the garage when Alice pulls her away, it always looked to me like for just a split second he almost grabbed her back.  His hand just sort of hovers there for a second like he can't believe he let her go.  And the rest is just my imagination going crazy. LOL. Chapter 2 should be up soon, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the story. :) 

Edward's really upsetting here, but honestly I'm pretty angry at Bella also.  It isn't right for her to keep quiet about nearly being raped.  And for what reason - she didn't want the attention?  Does it ever occur to her that by reporting it, and being the police chief's daughter, she has more of a chance than any other girl he may attack in the future to being believed and taken seriously?  Yes, it would cause a huge deal and all, but by speaking she could be preventing another girl from getting attacked and actually raped, instead of getting lucky and getting away.  Sorry, but I have a serious problem with her keeping silent. 

Oh my, this looks like it's got some serious possibilities for raunchy roll on the floor humor.  Buttercream?  Really, Bella?  Whatever floats your boat, you know?  I remember watching something or other on tv about people who get off on food, smearing it all over themselves, sitting on cakes, etc.  I figure, if it's not hurting anyone, go for it.  I have this mental image of Bella's chest all frosted up and Edward tittyfucking her.  That would be good use of frosting!

Oh, poor Edward.  I'm wincing in sympathy pain for him because seriously, piercing your dick has to be up there when it comes to Painful Things To Please Your Girl.  I love how he didn't think twice about getting it done, and then his convo with the piercer who apparently is gay.  Which may be a good thing when it comes to getting the actual piercing, at least he won't have homophobic problems handling the junk, right? 

Edward's social skills are seriously fucked up, totally makes me laugh.  Not going to rape your Chihuahua, that was fantastic.  Then the secretary, OMG.  He seriously doesn't see an issue with leaving a bunch of cupcake pussies in the reception area, hehehe. 

Just an FYI, the michelle cakes link above?  If you go through her adult cakes, I think the last one is of a big dick, complete with cum dribbling from the tip.  Not at a 45 degree angle, unfortunately.  She's also got some tittiecakes too.  LOL

I have to be honest, I was hoping for a fic in which Bella moved on, and Edward is too late when he realizes how he feels. But I didn't want her to move on so sadly! It did say fiance though, that's something. I could see this happening, where Edward just isn't mature enough to see what he had right in front of him. Thanks for writing!

Tanya is a real piece of work. She simply refused to believe the Cullens were choosing Bella over her, no matter what. I hope she understands now, or else she will be showing up at their house expecting a warm welcome. She's such a thickheaded, unstable whore, I was actually starting to get a little worried that she would snap when she was presented with Alec's girlfriend and try to kill Bella or something. She is certainly not the sharpest crayon in the box, she didn't think it mattered who she testified for? Good lord.

I really liked the conversation with Zafrina. It helped me to muddle through my own feelings for Edward's reactions and how the whole Tanya trial thing went down. That was a great way to go with the story. Edward's actions in the courthouse was nice. There was a twinge of sadness I couldn't help feeling for Bella. No matter what, I think she will always have to carry that burden of hurt with her. It will get smaller with time, and she will think of it less and less, but I don't think it will ever truly go away completely. It's apparent they still have a way to go if Bella is still slightly insecure of her place in the family and how Edward will treat Tanya.

Looking back at the story, it still amazes me that Bella wanted to fight for their marriage after Tanya's bombshell to her in the beginning. No relationship of any kind to her husband, her self esteem beaten down by his neglect and lack of physical interaction, it just doesn't seem there was anything to save and nothing to build on. Edward should thank her every day for coming back to him.

Seriously, Carlisle? Get over yourself. I hope Esme reams him for yelling at Edward for having the audacity to want to take his wife on vacation after the stresses of nearly being kidnapped and raped, and having to put him behind bars.

Thank you so much! Until Alec turned the tables on her, I don't think Tanya appreciated the gravity of what she'd done. She still was justifying it to herself and believed that she could make them see it her way. 

Very nice how you made that one sentence have a different meaning in the end of the chapter.

Just found your story today.  I've gobbled up the chapters like crazy, and I was rude and didn't review to each.  Sorry, I have no impulse control when I see a bunch of chapters that I want to read. 

I love this.  It's a realistic approach and very well thought out.  Edward is adorably clueless, and sometimes I want to shake him, but at the same time he's truly treading a thin line, trying to do the best thing here while dealing with a newborn and werewolves and a cover story...  I love how protective Bella is of him too.  I just wish he would show a little bit more affection.  Surely it wouldn't freak her out if he was a little more touchy feely?  I'm not talking making out, just doing little things like kissing her hand, touching her hair, etc.  He did great by bringing her flowers, I wish he would do more of those things for her.  Essentially, I wish he would do a little courting, a la his era. I suppose his finding out more information for her would fall under that category, bizarre as it is.

I just skimread your story, and I have to admit I am more than a little sad that you're going to go the HEA route with it.  I was getting all excited because the buildup was excellent, but then I deflated like a balloon with your AN.  I have been looking for a story in which Cheatward learns from his mistakes, but Bella doesn't take him back at the end (and not because of Jacob or Peter or Jasper or any number of substitutes) - she decides not to go back to Edward because there's too much water under that bridge, but she's okay with it.  She's stronger and doesn't need a man to prop her up.  Does that make sense?  You've done a great job here tearing Edward down and I have a feeling the buildup will be excellent as well.  I just have really wanted to see a story show that it's possible to forego the HEA and still be a great story. 

Anyway, like I said, you've done a great job with the buildup and I particularly admire how effectively you defused the Tanya bomb.  She went from being potentially the revenge bitch that somehow derails the whole plot, to being just the practically faceless, nameless body that Edward used.  She's really kind of incidental all of a sudden. Good job with that.

Nice job getting us fooled with the whole E thing.  You certainly had me!  *grin*  Not to mention the Lily thing, I honestly just thought you were trying to get away from the cliche use of Rosalie as the other woman, so you went with another flower.  hehe  Anyway, it was nice to see a story in which Bella doesn't spend the entire time throwing herself at a guy's feet in unrequited love, being the pity of all of her friends and deluding herself.  She went to Dartmouth, she continued with her life.  Enjoyed this a lot more than I had anticipated!
