Title: Chapter 2: Rising
This is good - but (and this is just me) it's missing some depth - there is the mention of her early life - but almost completely void of Carlisle. I understand she lived until 26 - but since you're talking about a 4-shot look at Esme, I was expecting her relationship with Carlisle to take on the majority of the content (and you're already 1/2 way through and there's nothing) Esp since human memories fade after becomming a vampire - you'd think she wouldn't dwell on this so much. Just a thought. Still love it though and will still keep reading. Author's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review!
This isn't meant to encompass all of her life--it happens that part four won't go past the 1930s, actually--but to show those little slices, little moments of her life that help form her into the Esme we see in Twilight (even if Bella/we don't get to know her well in the books). And while Carlisle is her love, and she's spent the majority of her existence with him, it seemed to me that many of those small building moments in her life wouldn't necessarily be centered on Carlisle. There are five vampires besides Carlisle in her life, and therefore five others with whom she interacts, develops, grows. Sometimes it's the things we don't exepct that affect us significantly, ya know?
Carlisle does get pretty much all of the page time in the next one-shot.
I'm thrilled you're reading, and thank you, again for taking the time out to pick apart the story. I appreciate it.

My favorites were the last 2 chapters! Loved it! Love the idea of Esme and Rose relaxing on the bed - beautiful picture. And I loved Carlisle with Esme. Great job! Author's Response: Thank you!

I'm so glad you took this on. This is such an interesting time period and I wish we had more insight into the dialogue that went on behind the scenes. Bravo! Love it! Edward is tender and in character - but brave and protective of Bella. Loved it!

Wow! This idea - this story - you have me totally hooked! Amazing - painful - but very very good.
I love their healing process. I love that you have them healing TOGETHER. I thought you handled her confession and anger towards Edward over his leaving just effortlessly - very natural and direct - without tons and tons of angst. And their dialogue with each other is so soothing and peaceful - perfect for this time where they are trying to come to grips with each other and what they've experienced.
A couple of weeks until the next chapter?! Yikes! I hope you update sooner - at least once a week. Keep em coming! :) Author's Response: i update as quickly as the chapters are ready, and hate to lead anyone on that i'll be able to do that every single week. it's gut wrenching to write.... i'm so happy you appreciated their dialog, that it appeared natural. that means a lot to me!

Woohoo! I dont know how the glitch happened, but having 2 chapters to read tonight was like a beautiful bonus!!! Yay!!
I think the whole recovery is lovely! I loved the proposal - how he asked - made my heart melt. I loved how Bella dealt with Jacob - correctly! This is how she should have dealt with him in the canon - not keeping him strung along for weeks and months. It makes her a better, stronger Bella this way.
And I LOVE that you have Edward healing with her - not apart from their relationship - and that they are slowly getting back to the physical aspects as well. Awesome!
You are amazing woman! Love your story - definitely in my top 3 now of "happy dance" when you update. Oh! Oh!! Sorry for the 3rd post review here - but I was re-reading part of your story and got an idea.
If you have the time (like any of us ever do!) and the inclination, you should write an outake to this story on Alice and Jasper and how he deals with her recovery from Italy. It could be short and simple - but I would DEFINITELY be interested in that point of view.

Something I'm coming to love about Sundays is I know you will usually have an update - and you definitely did not disappoint today! :)
The Aro/Jane thing is really freaking me out. Worried someone is going to be killed. I loved the driving scene - seemed peaceful and calming - to everyone involved. Your Bella rocks!

Did I mention his proposal to Bella (even while she was pregnant) was still just heart warming and beautiful?? Seriously, I love your dialogue between the pair - I love how you keep them close. There is angst and suspense - but it's not between the two of them - and that SO rocks! That is SO refreshing!

I REALLY really liked the background info on Alice and Jasper's first time. That was completely unique and fresh to me.

I don't know why - but this hesitant side of Edward - almost insecure - was really sweet. I loved this line.
I have never been jealous of a person's honeymoon until I read your chapter :) Author's Response: i love that too - kind of like the 2nd proposal scene when he got all flustered about trying to do it right the 2nd time around. i love little displays of his vulnerability, even though he's this supernaturally strong being. i hate an overtly cocky man.

Well I thought this chapter was amazing! You had all the right elements and pieces - including the outright terror of Edward and Alice on the way home. I thought it was all brilliant as usual.
