Title: Chapter 9: 9. - Enemies
Your angst is killing me. I have to admit - I was more involved and hanging on your every word when Edward was about to enter Bella's room and talk to her. Now it seems like it's been dragged out a bit too long. I can see where you're going and I think it's good - it seems to be the logical way things would have happened if Edward had returned like this. Although...it could just be me waiting so badly for their reunion. Please do it justice!! Author's Response: Haha there's still awhile to go, so please be patient... trust me, I've got the storyline all worked out and I promise it will be worth it in the end. Their reunion will definitely be much more dramatic than SM's version was. ;o)

After departing Forks with the rest of the Cullen family, Alice becomes increasingly preoccupied with the information revealed to Bella by James about her life as a human and the vampire who changed her. Told partially through flashback and through present-day (read: during the New Moon time span) events, Down The Rabbit Hole explores the details of how Alice comes to an understanding of her past.

Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Advice From A Troubled Sister
I am so intrigued with Alice and Jasper - this is wonderful to read. I also love how you're handling the side of Edward away from Bella. It weaves perfectly into your story and you capture the tone with the rest of your story. Author's Response: Thank you! Even though it's Alice's story, I felt it was crucial to bring Edward in. They're both, in a way, feeling guilty for Edward leaving and for Bella's near death in Phoenix. They're very close, the way I always interpreted them, especially in light of the piece of Midnight Sun Meyer released. Plus I wanted Alice to slap him for his emo ways.
Summary: After that fateful spring break, Bella never really got over James's attack. She just pretended she did, burying her fears until even she's convinced she's okay. Will a new arrival in Forks help her face the truth -- that's she's not only a danger magnet, but a vampire magnet, too?

Love the update! Great Halloween present. I'm completely blown over this time with your detail of the physical interactions between Bella and Edward. You take your time - slow and descriptive. So very much in character. Hope you update again soon.

Love this. Love that someone is finally dealing with this idea of Bella pushing back against Edward's self loathing and ideas of control for what is best for Bella. Hello Angel - I just finished your There Are Worse Things I Could Do - and just so enjoyed the whole thing!! I am NOT a Grease fan at all - and yet I still loved your plot and found a lot of points very refreshing! Also thought you stuck to your characters well and kept them fluid throughout. I also really enjoyed the turn of events at the end - where Bella comes to love Edward without trying to change him. That was a nice touch :)

Summary: It's rare to see any other POV of Twilight than the hackneyed versions of Midnight Sun. Oh Wow! Please continue with your story. This is simply wonderful! First off - I love the idea of Edward chosing the Island for the release it would bring his mind. Brilliant insight. Your character portrayal of Edward is so mature - so many fiction pieces tend to bring him into a modern sense of mind - and I think they lose who Edward is. Not you - this is extremely well done. Yay! Yay! Yay!! You updated your beautiful story. I was just thinking about your story yesterday and hoping you had not forgotten it. Are you planning to keep going from here? Or is this the end? I hope you plan to cover more missing moments on Isle Esme.
Your tale of caution is so amazing - how you bring it down to such basics in intimacy - knowing they are both so inexperienced and Edward trying to be so careful. It was perfect - right on target for what they probably went through their first time.
I really really hope you keep going. :)
Summary: 
It's Bella's 18th birthday, and what does she want more than immortality? Her darling Edward's loving company—minus the clothing. To her surprise, Edward caves and when Bella gets some, she gets WAY more than she bargained for. Cue Edward's standard self-sacrificing departure, a snarky, homicidal Victoria with some powerful connections, and a new Bella who grows a belly and a backbone and goes on her own little hunting trip in Denali to find answers.

Love your story! Quick question - and I might have just missed this in the reading - but if they left on good terms, why was there no communication? No phone calls or letters? Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Good question. In my mind (sometimes a scary and illogical place to be) :) I imagined them parting on good terms but being hurt nonetheless. Bella's really hurt (as you will see later) that Edward didn't try harder to stay with her, or take her with them. Edward had to go with the family, with Carlisle's new job, but he still thought it was best for her. Him being a vampire and her being a human and all. He still wanted her to move on with her life, thinking that maybe if he was away from her for any length of time she would change how she felt about him. As you will see in later chapters (and I'm giving you a bit of peak into the future) Bella was "drowning" in emotions (not as strong as now) before she even met Edward. He helped her to tread water and start to really live. When he left she had no one (Jacob comes in later but not as the guy from LaPush) to really help her keep her head above the water, so to speak. So, there really wouldn't have been any communication between them. Not even Alice looking in on her. They (the Cullens) didn't know how long they would be in S. Africa (they thought they would stay longer) so it was still like a "clean break" kind of situation. I hope this explains a bit. I must admit, your review is my favorite ever, because no one has really ever questioned me on it. I LOVE that you did. PLEASE, if you have any other questions send me an email.
