Summary: Edward Cullen is a hot, bad, gangsta fella who is a new kid in the Chicago underworld. But refusing to pay his respects to the big, ruling Godfather, his arrival is not welcomed. Bella is said Godfather’s estranged daughter who fled his father’s world in an attempt at a normal life.
Both men keep clashing and bumping heads, Edward’s power grows rapidly, men are tired of the old regime, and so a sort of gangster war ensues. Bella is caught in the mayhem when she becomes a prisoner in the hands of her father’s most hated enemy and rival. With Bella as a prisioner, Edward knows her father will have no choice but to do as he is told.
But does Edward have other motives to capture Bella?
**There is rape involved in one of the later chapters. If that topic offends you, please do not read**

Well.....here goes...You gave plenty of warning and it does fit the story line. The fact that he didn't hurt her and tried to make it pleasurable (as much as it could be under the circumstances, that is) is something. It came off as an issue related to power and maybe something he felt he had to do to prove himself.
I'm not saying it is great that it happened, but I'm assuming we'll be seeing a more sympathetic Edward in the future?
Author's Response: Yes... but it'll take some time. Edward has a LOT of issues with Bella's dad, and a lot of issues in general. I'd like to think he wasn't born bad, he was made that way by a series of terrible experiences in his life. Give him a chance, Bella will ;)

In addition to the power aspect, I'm thinking it is a case of the Heart (and body) Wants What The Heart Wants.....Extreme Sexual Attraction.......I'm wondering if Edward has been admiring Bella from afar for a long time???? He is obviously not nearly as callous as he could be...seems to be some genuine affection.

I'm definitely liking your story....It is different! Author's Response: All I have to say, sherylb, is: you totally get my story! I'm so happy you like it and you have been able to get into it, I know it is a different story and the subject of the rape is a little controversial and farfetched. Thanks for giving it a chance and enjoying it.
I checked the song in YouTube and loved it! It is now officially in my story's soundtrack. Although now I realize I've never shared it with anyone, I should post it.

The more I think about this, the more I can't see any kind of a future for these two, even if there are some genuine feelings/attraction......At this point, Edward doesn't want to give up his other women, and Bella(obviously) is not a woman who could put up with that......There would have to be a tremendous amount of change...................
