I just read your entire fanfic. I love it. I believe you have stayed to canon for the characters. And your method of portraying Edward's POV is fantastic. Well thought out and well written!!! I like your fluff!! You seem to have nailed Edward's personality. Good work!
Summary: You know those fics where Edward doesn't come back and Bella forgets about him and five seconds later she's in bed with Jacob and none of it makes any damn sense?
Yeah, this isn't one of them.
This story picks up from the moment in New Moon when Jacob has driven Bella home after the cliff diving incident, right before he catches the scent of Alice. Only in this telling, Alice wasn't looking, so there's no sudden appearance at Bella's house, no Rosalie calling Edward and sending him on a suicidal mission to Volterra, and no reason for Bella to do anything but believe that Edward didn't love her anymore. This is simply a story of what might have happened if everyone stayed mostly in character and Edward's return was delayed. Yes, delayed. Because we all know that he was "this close" to coming back on his own anyhow.
So what would have happened if Bella had tried to move on with her life? Would she have found happiness with Jacob? And would Edward be too late?

You really write action well. I was holding my breath, even though I knew Jake returned from the previous chapter!
I never thought I'd like a Jake/Bella fic. You've proved me wrong again and again!! Author's Response: Thank you! I actually debated about the whole water scene for a while. I considered putting it in the previous chapter since everyone would already know Jacob was fine, but I finally just decided to go with my usual formula.

Beautiful! I know why SM wrote it the way she did - to alleviate Edward's guilt, to make it easier for him. You nailed it - the way it would have been without an emergency, a dire need for the change to occur! Author's Response: twitina, I first fell in love with Bella's fascination for Edward (before she knew WHAT he was--oh, the mystery-mystery-mystery, it consumed me). And then...I fell in love with Edward. I loved how he loved Bella, how he resisted WHAT HE WAS and WHAT HE WANTED.
I always thought Meyer nailed it when it came to writing Edward. I just thought she could have...er...made the struggles more realistic (hard, difficult, painful) without sacrificing the physiological need/love E and B had for each other. I think that's one reason why there are so many TWILIGHT fanfic writers and readers. We're still craving what we missed.
Summary: After her father dies, Bella Swan is thrown back into the arms of the family she believed she never really left. Sometimes the worst events become the best opportunties for change. AU-Human, BxE. Rated for language.

Summary: If you ask me to describe Quil in one word it'd be "Sexy-Quileute-Warrior-Man". Now I know, its not technically one word, so if your going to be picky, I guess I'd have to say "unattainable". I'm Claire: utterly average 16 year old, in love with Quil Ateara, a mystical sex god.
Excerpt from Those Chicken Breast Thingys:
I felt his warm arms encircle me, and although I was already sweltering in the heat, I didn't complain as he carried me bridal style to the water. The whole thing felt so much like a romance novel cover— stud werewolf and olive skinned damsel— that I imagined myself momentarily clad in a flowing gown of some sort, heaving my non-existent bosoms to his chest.
I got caught up in it all when the first splashes of cold water hit the small of my back. I shrunk away from it, wrapping my arms around Quils neck tightly and pulling myself up higher, pressing my cheek to his. His cheek was on fire, but it felt so natural on mine. I realized that I had never had so much of my bare skin touching his and I felt my own cheeks blush hot. I pulled my cheek away, scared that maybe he would be able to feel it, or somehow know with his werewolvy senses that I was more turned on then I had ever been in my entire life.
