I hope everything's okay with you! I've seen some pretty nasty, underhanded things happen in corportate radio and this, although nothing I've seen, is loosely based on those events.

Poor Bella. I just got screwed out of my job, so this chapter hit home. You did a great job painting a picture of good ol' boy backroom deals. Author's Response: I'm so sorry to hear about your job. I'll keep my fingers crossed you find something even better!
This is loosely based on some things I've seen in corporate radio (though not this exact scenario) and I've seen some of the best employees we've had totally screwed and let go just because they aren't part of a certain crowd. Some companies seems to forget what's important (good work ethic, trustworthy, good rapport with clients) and let their decision makers get wrapped up in surrounding themselves with people who will stroke their ego.

Title: Chapter 28: Unforeseen Confessions
Edward is such a man--thinking he could fix everything with a new job in a new state but not thinking what Bella really needed. I know they'll survive the distance (Right? Please say I'm right!) but he added drama that wasn't necessary. Author's Response: He definitely wasn't in the right mindset to make any decisions, let alone something like this... but yes, they'll survive. The next chapter focuses on how. The teeny, tiny silver lining is that this will give them confidence that if they can handle this they can handle just about everything.

Bella is completely devastated by the accident and is no longer the woman she used to be. She returns to Washington to be closer to her father and best friends, trying to find a way to put her life back together.
Edward has had a "thing" for Bella for ten years, but he never acted on it, and no one ever knew about his feelings for her. He's done a decent job of building a good life, but Bella's return makes him question and re-think everything he thought he knew.
Once these two meet again, he's going to do all he can to finally get his girl, but life and circumstances will make it difficult for him - and Bella will be the biggest challenge of all.
