Nothin much to tell.  Wife.  Mom.  Daughter. Teacher. Students.  Closet Twilight fan fiction addict who might actually leave her husband if Carlisle were real and single--even though he's a bit old for me.  I try not to date guys over 250, but for him I'd make an exception.

Great start! I'm looking forward to seeing more of this story.

Author's Response:

I feel it starts off a little shaky, but I just finished chapter 10, and am really proud of where it is.  Hopefully, my beta and I can get the chapters out to you in a regular fashion!

Very compelling beginning. I look forward to more.

Author's Response:

I know it is kind of slow so far, but there was a lot of set up to do.  Now we get to move into the good stuff.

Beautifully written. As a caretaker child, I found myself really able to relate to Bella's feelings.

Author's Response:

This is the first of the many chapters seeing the illness from a caretaker's perspective.  The unintentional hurt that can be caused by the one with the disease who is confused by a sudden loss of self-reliance.  The anxiety over what is going to happen next.  The fear of what may happen in the future.

Oh, man. Poor Bella, thinking she has to keep this all to herself. I hope she opens up to Edward soon--they'll both be happier.

Excellent chapter as always. Thanks for the effort you put into them.

Author's Response:

In the next two chapters, we will see a series of events that will force Bella's hand, so to speak.  Also, a heart-to-heart with Dr. Cullen aides her in realizing that she doesn't have to do this alone.  There are people around her that don't want to splay her and Charlie with pity, but truly just want to be their friends, and caring for each other is what friends do.

More soon!  Thanks so much for reading!

Another excellent chapter! I look forward to more quick updates. You're doing a super job.

Author's Response:

Thank-you for the praise and encouragement!  I would like to say I am one of those purist who writes for myself, but who am I kidding!  I love my readers/reviewers!

I love this story, and I'm always glad for a sweet chapter like this. One tiny question--did Edward know Charlie before he shaved his head, and if so didn't he think anything about it? Just curious.

More, please, and soon!

Author's Response:

You know...I actually considered that, but so many men are shaving their heads these days...I wouldn't think to question it. MHO.

Thanks for reading!

I have more than one story favorited, but your story is the one that makes me squeal when I see it's been updated. You're doing a fabulous job with it--I'm unconditionally and irrevocably in love with it. ;o)

Author's Response:

I am happy I can cause a grown woman to squeal!  I know what you mean about seeing that a favorite has updated!  I was having an especially crappy evening last night, and then I got an update of "The Office", and I was sad no longer.  :-)

I'm reviewing, so start typing! I did the happy dance this morning when I saw an update. This chapter was just what I needed today. I love happy! Your writing is very concise without leaving out detail, so you get a lot in your chapters, and I appreciate that. I've read some FFs that spend three chapters telling the reader that Bella has brown hair. I love that you're descriptive but not wordy.

Author's Response:

I know what you mean about those stories that can get over descriptive.  My eyes start to glaze over a bit, and I start scanning instead of reading.  I am happy you think I have a nice balance between detail and action!  I am also glad I made you happy, because your continuous support of my stories has made me happy!

Nah, it's not a lame chapter at all. It moves the plot forward and sets up the next action. As always, I appreciate your quick updates.

Author's Response:

Updates are all due to master beta texbelle.  All praise her glory!

What a fun. happy chapter. I'm so glad to see Bella getting to be a regular teenager; I was almost wishing she'd lose her bet with Charlie so she'd have to relax and be a kid for a weekend.

I always look forward to your updates andam never disappointed.

Author's Response:

Oh don't you worry about Bella getting a chance to be a kid for a weekend.  Emmett is very bitter about losing, and don't think he won't throw her under the Alice bus.

I am glad you are enjoying the story!

God bless the family of Daddy's Little Cannibal.

Author's Response:

Absolutely.  It hurts my heart even more to find out that she was a twin.  I have twin brother-in-laws, and I can't imagine what it would be like for one to lose the other.  There is a special bond there.

Awww. I'm ready for more, but I'm so pleased with the way you are building the electricity between B & E.

Author's Response:

Edward has made the shift now, emotionally.  Now we just need Bella to get there.  I won't keep you guys stringing along forever!

Dang that Alice!  I was sure we were going to get that kiss at the airport.

I just love this story and wait impatiently for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

I couldn't let them have their first kiss at the airport, and then have Bella dash off to catch a plane!  You guys have waited this long, that I want it to be special.

First of all, I am sorry for the loss of your step-dad.  I hope you and your family will find comfort in happy memories of him.

I always enjoy reading this story.  Even though Charlie's illness has the potential to make the story depressing, it never is.  I also love the fact that you portray Edward and Bella as real teenagers with believable reactions and emotions.

I love your Charlie! Only he would bring Renee there for Bella.

I missed your chapters, but RL does have a way of rearing its ugly head from time to time.

Author's Response:

I was hoping Renee was a nice surprise for everyone. I also had to give Bella and Charlie the best Christmas they could have in a hospital room. :-) Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Your Christmas with the Cullens et al did make me tear up.  It was very sweet.

Author's Response:

I was listening to the Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack while I wrote this. I also have the sudden urge to bake! I will stick with the seasonal zucchini bread for now.

The beginning of this story was so tumultuous, that I thought we could all use a chapter like this in which we can take a deep breath and relax.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Darn that Edward.  Great chapter, but Edward needs a smack.

Author's Response:

We must remember that Edward is an average teenage boy. They aren't always rational and understanding. He has had a live in girlfriend for two weeks. Though she has been busy visiting Charlie, she is still there when he goes to bed, and there when he gets up in the morning. They have just had a fantastic Christmas together, and though he knew this day was coming, it hit fast. He reacted poorly, to say the least, but know that he is a good enough person that he will realize it.

For now, he is the head cashier at the jerk store. ;-)

Thanks for reading and reviewing!
