Nothin much to tell.  Wife.  Mom.  Daughter. Teacher. Students.  Closet Twilight fan fiction addict who might actually leave her husband if Carlisle were real and single--even though he's a bit old for me.  I try not to date guys over 250, but for him I'd make an exception.

Edward might just be an angel.  I love this story so much.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  It makes me teary to hear from readers that they love the story.  Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Every chapter I read, I think "this is my favorite" --and then you write an even better one the next time.  I am so emotionally invested in this story!

Author's Response:

UM...WOW!  Thank you so much, that is a compliment of the highest form!  Of course when writing I'm always striving to better myself, but sometimes it's hard to consistently elevate the story.

There is much to come, I hope I continue to hold your interest because I would miss you if you were gone!

Artfully written and touching chapter.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.  Artfully written?  You humble me...

Oh my goodness!  What a lovely sentimental chapter with a tear-jerking ending.

Author's Response:

I cried tears as I wrote it, even though I knew it was coming!  I knew it before they met, before I started writing Edward.

Thank you for reading and reviewing, so much!

Loved it!

I'm so glad you did!

This was such a serious chapter, but it was very well-written.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much - this story will definitely have a lot of highs and lows.  Thanks for taking time out to read and review.

That was hard but good.  Great job as always!

Author's Response:

It was hard to write too!  I just needed to put it out there because I promised to be as honest as possible with how I write this story.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I'm looking forward to Bella and Charlie's Christmas--but especially to Bella and Edward's New Year's Eve.

Thank you for such a heartfelt, well-written story.

Author's Response:

And thank you in return for reading and reviewing!  It means so very much to me!

Excellent chapter--as always.  The party was fun with such a diverse but complementary group.  You make them sound like the people you always hoped you'd get to hang out with.  Then, when we were all lulled into a sense of complacency, you dropped that last sentence on us.  Man, that was killer!  I know that Charlie's not going to get some kind of miracle cure, but seeing it right there was hard.  I know it must have been hard for you to write.

I love this story!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I totally wish I could hang out with that crowd, why wasn't I invited to the party?  LOL.

AS hard as this story may be to write, it's also incredibly fulfilling in ways I didn't know it would be.  Part of that is due to the amazing readers (like you!) and the humbling reviews.   The story will still be up and down before things get really rough.  I hope that you will continue to be along for the ride.

xoxo

I want to hug Bella and hit her at the same time.  I know she's confused, but dang--this is Edward we're talking about.

Your last paragraph made my stomach hurt.  I know it's coming, but I don't want it to!

Author's Response:

Hang in there...the next chapter promises some relief and Edward isn't totally faultless, right?  He is being a little harsh...the next chapter will be soothing.

thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Edward's a good guy, but why do I think there's something more to it than he says?  Love this story--every word!

Author's Response:

There's nothing BIG he's hiding from Bella, but there are definitely things Bella has left to discover about him.

I'm so glad you love the story!  Thank you so, so much.

You can't have Edward--he's mine! :o)

You got to me with this chapter.  Well, you always get to me, but this one was especially emotional.  My dad felt like Renee in some ways, and I've always felt like it was my fault.  Reading how Charlie feels about Bella made me hope that's how my mom feels about me--like I'm worth the trouble.

Author's Response:

Thankfully in the world of fic there's plenty of "Edwards" to go around *giggle*

I don't know you but I can tell you that you are definitely worth the trouble! Renee is, sadly, based on a real life person (not my mother, thank goodness).  This was a tough chapter and an emotionally draining one for me to write, but it's one of those chapters I knew had to be written.

Thank you, as always, for reading and reviewing!

He was another person in my life moving on, branching out, while my world grew smaller around me.  Oh, my goodness--you've just written my life! I didn't know how to describe it, but that's it.

Your story moves me every time I read it.

Author's Response:

Awwwwww, sweetie I'm moved by your review.  Thanks for being there and reading my story and reviewing every chapter, it means so very much.

I don't know how you manage to make every chapter more emotional and beautiful than the one before, but somehow you do.  By the 23rd chapter, I should have figured out that I need to get a tissue before I sit down to read.

Author's Response:

You know, I don't know either!  I just write from the heart and try to put the emotions I feel on the page.  I don't aim to top myself with each subsequent chapter but am flattered that you feel I do.  Keep the tissues handy..you're going to need them.

Thanks for continually reading and reviewing my story.

Everything you write reminds me of an experience with my mother and helps bring it into perspective.  Just today we walked out into the back yard to check on "her" tomato plants--the ones she helped plant in a huge barrel in the kitchen so she could get her hands in her beloved dirt.  My husband and son moved the whole thing into the back yard where they could grow.  It's hard for her to keep her balance on the uneven ground, but she wanted to be out there, so we were.  The things I think are chores like digging in the dirt or running to the store are treats for her now; your story helps me remember that.

I'm older than the average reader or Twilight fan (I have a college-age son), and I never quite completed college.  It didn't seem as important when I was a young wife and mother.  Now, I'm a senior in gifted education, partially because I want my mom to see me graduate and know I did it.  Bella applying to culinary school reminded me of that.

Your story reminds me of my life because it's so realistically written.  I've taken a scary trip (or two) to the ER, and nobody can express it like someone who's lived it.

I need to find a thesaurus so I use new words to say what I always feel: your story is beautifully written and touching, and it is an honor to be able to read it.

Author's Response:

Your story touched me. Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with me.  I hate hospitals because I associate them with so much heartbreak and sadness - my MIL passed away from Pancreatic cancer four years ago, so my dad was not the only one who had me visiting the ER.  My husband also has been in the hospital for a heart condition called Wolff Parkinson White - the night he was care flighted to the hospital was maybe the most terrifying I experienced.

As much as it may be an honor for you to read my story, it's an honor for me to have you read it.

To me age is meaningless (my mom is 65 and a huge TWI fan, she read the first book and saw the first movie before I did!)  Shared experience is what brings people together, and though our situations may not be exactly the same, we are connected through their similarities.

Good for you on going back to college, I'm sure your mom will be so proud!

Thank you, first of all, for the tissue warning.  Somehow seeing it helped me brace for the chapter.  I loved the moments of joy that you intersperse with the pain.  Life really is like that if people only look for the good in the midst of trial.

We picked some of my mother's okra today.  She is thrilled that "her" garden is producing.  It's the little things you come to appreciate.

Author's Response:

Life really is like that and it's so hard to convey when you haven't been through that.  With my dad there were bright moments and not-so-bright moments - I always try to look back on the best times.

The little things in life are the one's that make the biggest difference.  I'm glad you are enjoying the little things with your mom.  Hold those memories close, forever.

xoxo Jules

Beautiful, and sad and comforting all at the same time.  I loved the interaction with Bella and Billy. She needed to hear that she had to let Charlie go, and only Billy could do that.

I couldn't help reviewing.  You do such a wonderful job that you deserve the praise at every opportunity.

Author's Response:

I'm so happy you enjoyed the moments with Billy ~ that part of the chapter was very special and important to me as well.  Thank you for your graciousness and reading my story in the first place - I know it's not a fluffy piece so the fact that I have had so much support from readers like you has meant so very much.

Your writing is so authentic.  I remember when my sister died, I wondered how the world kept on turning and people kept on going about their normal lives when I knew my life would never, ever be normal again. You captured that feeling so vividly.

Author's Response:

I'm sorry to hear about your sister.  I'm touched that you can personally relate in your own way, thankful to have you as a reader and grateful for your review.

I was taken aback by the Em/B thing, but I can forgive her.

The funeral was perfect, and Edward was perfect too.

Author's Response:

*Sigh*  I'm glad you can forgive Bella, what about me?  This played out in my head a long time ago and I know that many of you would react in such a way, I just hope you understand I have to be true to the story as it came to me.  Thanks, as always, for reading and reviewing!

<Sigh>  Edward is practically perfect, isn't he?

I didn't like what Bella did, but I understand it.  When you're grieving like that, all you want is to feel something else besides the crushing pain.  Anything will do, and sex is a great distraction.

Author's Response:

Yes, he is, PRACTICALLY being the key word since there really is no such thing as perfect.  I didn't expect anyone to like what happened with Em/B but there were some seriously harsh things thrown out, now, I'm all good.  I realize where everyone is coming from and I can handle it, truly. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

I'm pretty darn sure Edward's in love. He'd better be.  If he isn't yet, you can MAKE him be! :o)

Hahaha, I can, can't I?  I think you're on to something though...
