About Me:
I'm a wife, mother of two, and business owner who used to be a prospective whale biologist in Washington (not too far from the Olympic Peninsula--I can see Port Angeles from here on a clear day!). I met my then Stage Manager husband in the local theater while playing the role of a vampire (Dracula's Lucy) and my life was forever changed! Needless to say, drama comes naturally to both my kids, and they are the inspriation that keeps me moving. Reading, and now writing Twi-fic, is what's keeping me sane with the otherwise absolute lack of needed creativity in my life right now.
Despite having played a Vampire in a local production of "Dracula" I had not heard of "Twilight" until the movie came out. Go figure. My typical cuppa is Sci-Fi/Fantasy, not Romance and never before vamp fiction, so my RL friends and family find it histerical that this genre has sucked me in so deeply! :D I have a google search for "Best Twilight Fan Fiction" to thank for finding the fandom in the first place.
I came for the lemons, but have stayed for the creativity. And boy, am I glad I did!!!
I chose RosaBella as my penname over on ff dot net, because I have a classic look that strongly resembles Rosalie, I love working on my Mustang with my father (having rebuilt it with him awile back- and didn't mind smelling to high heaven of gasoline and gear oil for 6 straight weeks to do it), but am Bella to my core.

Summary:  You know those fics where Edward doesn't come back and Bella forgets about him and five seconds later she's in bed with Jacob and none of it makes any damn sense?
Yeah, this isn't one of them.
This story picks up from the moment in New Moon when Jacob has driven Bella home after the cliff diving incident, right before he catches the scent of Alice. Only in this telling, Alice wasn't looking, so there's no sudden appearance at Bella's house, no Rosalie calling Edward and sending him on a suicidal mission to Volterra, and no reason for Bella to do anything but believe that Edward didn't love her anymore. This is simply a story of what might have happened if everyone stayed mostly in character and Edward's return was delayed. Yes, delayed. Because we all know that he was "this close" to coming back on his own anyhow.
So what would have happened if Bella had tried to move on with her life? Would she have found happiness with Jacob? And would Edward be too late?

Loved how you handled the impirinting on Claire bit. It would be wierd and yet is platonic and protective until it's appropriate to be more, though I'd imagine 14-18 will be tough on the poor boy! *mwha* It's a great way to keep some of them phasing a bit longer, but not too much.

I think I'm going to have to go back and read this through again once it's complete. The chapters are the appropriate length for the story, but it feels a little piecemeal to me in this moment. I just get into it when I end up waiting again. Still totally enjoying the story, but I think I'll be more satisfied by the nuances if I can read it all together.

While the short chapters are totally appropriate to the story, they're KILLING ME! :) At least I'll die having been well entertained.
Can't help wanting more of such a good thing, and I'm just impatient that way.
As much as I like this already, I'm thinking I'll need to go back an re-read it after we get a bit further on, to really get the full impact.
Poor Jake is in such a tough situation. Wanting to be physically close with Bella, but wanting to respect her pace, and her further confusing the situation with not even really knowing what she wants. Sounds like teen romance to me! lol

Love it! Love how Jake is still such a teen boy, even though he's in a man's body (and ohhh what a bod it is...but I digress) :D I always thought that was why so many cultures marry off the kids at age twelve. Twelve year old boys are so sweet when they're romantic! Girls just gotta love them, and they genuinly care about the girls feelings, still. (or at least the sweet ones do!) So sad they get over that and then get ruined by the game playing girls!

Title: Chapter 51: Quiet: Bella's POV
You asked to hear how I want the story to end as a Team E fan. Well, normally I'd want her to end up with E (and think that she would end with E as long as he came back and let her know he wanted her). But, for a change it would be nice to see what B ending up with Jake could look like. Maybe it's explained as simply as E came back but had promised himself that if she was happy with a human guy he wouldn't interfere, but would watch to be sure that Jake didn't imprint and leave her. I for one, started reading this story because it promised romance between B and Jake. I can get plenty of BxE elsewhere. The angst of the return could seriously suck, but would be natural.
This jstory just gets better and better. Looking forward to more, as always! Author's Response: Thank you! A lot of my readers have mentioned that there are a bunch of seemingly Bella/Jacob fics out there that end with her choosing Edward. And of course, we know that the majority of fics are all about Edward anyway. Actually, my favorite reads are Edward/Bella stories... I haven't been reading any Jacob-y fics lately, though because I don't want to accidentally influence my own, so I have to say I'm surprised that so many of them twist toward Edward in the end. Oh well, I like the way this one's going, and I'm determined to have a happy ending, even if I do have to hurt one of the guys.

Just as good as I have come to expect! (I can tell despite the crafting we all must do --the base comes naturally! I hope you don't sweat it ever being less than adequate just becase some chapters will naturally be particularly outstanding. They can't all be equally over the top or it would lessen them. Mountains are only majestic because of the peaks.)

Love that they're talking more. I thought it was really realistic that she'd be uncomfortable with Jake in her room at night when she'd been okay with E doing the same thing. We humans are just fickle that way!
I'm gonna go stand in the open door to my freezer now to help lower my temp back down to normal! Whoo! Very nic! Very appropriate to the story, just sucks for me, 'cause I'm wanting an OOC out-take with these two!!! :D I'm sure citrus-by-yasar is tasty and satisfying! (mwaha)

Oh! Fabs twist with Jake finding where Ed hid her mementos of him!!! Can't wait to see what Jake decides to do with them and how seeing them (if she does?) will affect Bella.
Yeah! Award! You so very much earned it! If anything I love this story more the longer it goes on, and I wasn't completely sure in the beginning that the extra waiting involved with the dual/alternating pov's wouldn't get too tiresome. Sooooo, not the case!!! I find I look forward to the next installment whether it's totally new info or not. You make the two pov's diff enough everytime to make each chap. quite satisfying in it's own right.

The points you made about the scent were a great wakeup/smack up side the head. Thanks. ;D If it had been E, who is so hyperaware of everything about her, it probs would have been noticed sooner (and his perspective being so pervasive, I think that's why so many of us latched onto it).
