Summary:
The Dogs of War is Twilight, reimagined. It is a darker reimagining, in which the vampires and the werewolves are locked in a war to eradicate one another. Edward is assigned by Carlisle, who is a leader for the vampires in the war, to tail Bella because she is close to Jacob Black, a wolf of high importance to the vampires. But, he falls for the young woman he is assigned to get close to, which will cause problems when the war inevitably reaches new heights.
Content is Mature; includes harsh language, violence, and explicit adult material. The mood or 'atmosphere' for the story is dark at times.
