*sigh* I don't know why this was neccesary, but this is your party. I loved the first part of the chapter and I can't wait for the next one. Author's Response: I had wondered who would get violent with me, LOL. At least the pillows are cheap :)
I have my reasons, which I'll explain in the next Author's Note and which the characters themselves will discover, but this idea came to me very early on in my planning this story, even before I'd settled how/when B&E would reconcile. And I knew that even though it would be hard to write, it had to be done.

Noooo! I don't want it to be over!!! LOL. I loved all of this, though i do wish I could see Charlie's vampire days. I can't believe this is over with! *sigh* whatever shall i do now? Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it! You wouldn't believe how much trouble this chapter gave me!
I wanted the epilogue to really be just Edward and Bella--let you know what was going on with the others, but "off page" so to speak.
I'm both thrilled and sorry it's finally finished, but I've got two new stories in the works, and I'm glad to hopefully have a little more time to work on them.

*sigh* this is what I've been waiting for...she's so close to figuring it out! Ugh...I have to wonder what's happening next! Author's Response: I think it's what everyone has been waiting for. While there's no heavy breathing (on Bella's part at least!) in the next chapter, there is sweetness and tenderness and more Edward IS Edward clues. As for the big Oh, My God moment is only a few chapters away. In the meantime, Edward and Bella grow closer. I hope it will be enough to keep you all entertained until the cat is let out of the bag!

I hated that you had to kill them off...but you're the author...so I'll just trust you to make it work out all right. I can't wait for more! Author's Response:
It was hard to write, but I knew all along I was going to kill them both, and I knew how and when. The way they basically just let Renee hanging in canon never sat right with me; I wanted a clean break. I liked (maybe not the right word!) the irony that with the threat of the vampire army coming to destroy them, it was a common car accident that took people Bella loved. Sort of a flashback to the Mason's maid, Nellie's, brother. He survived the war for over a year only to fall to the flu. Also, I really wanted both Edward and Bella to have to experience something the other had gone through. Even though Edward can't remember his father, he knows he died very suddenly.

I'm pretty sure the movie that line is from was Erin Brockovich, but I never saw the movie, and I couldn't find the quote online. I thought it fit the scenario perfectly. Even if Edward can't remember his human life, I think he is still very much a product of the era he lived in. Even though he's also lived through all the ensuing social changes, I think he is still very much an Edwardian era man. Could you just imagine his shock at his mate saying something like that? But like I said, he has lived through all the social changes of the 20th century, so I think that shock would be tempered.
