Summary:  A story about love, about death, about keeping secrets, and dealing with the consequences. Bella and Edward meet at a hospital when she is diagnosed with a life threatening disease and he is recovering from knee surgery. She confides her fears to him; he changes his life because of her. This is a story about their journey through the confusion, awkwardness, pain, and beauty of first love.
Excerpt from Chapter 2:
“What are you most afraid of?” Edward asks one last question.
“I'm not afraid of dying,” I answer truthfully.
“You're not afraid of dying?” he repeats, incredulous.
“No. There's so much more. I'm afraid of losing my hair but that's not my biggest fear. I'm afraid of leaving my mom and dad all alone. I'm afraid that if I survive, I'll never have children of my own.” I yawn again. Edward is quiet and I think for a moment that he's fallen asleep. “Edward,” I whisper, in case he is asleep, “What are you most afraid of?”
“I'm afraid I'm falling for you,” he whispers back so softly that I'm unsure if I've heard him correctly.

Awe my first snow fall was in Tahoe, my favorite place on earth. And what a god send Edward seems to be, but what is he hiding from Bella, with his knee? Thanks or the update. Well I didn't expect that, and my daughter has diabetes. I see where Edward is coming from. For some reason it is harder for boys to accept they have dibetes than it is for girls. I hope Bella curbs her anger. He was coming from a good place.

Author's Response: Sometimes I worry that this Edward may be too good to be true, but I like to think that he's similar to canon Edward in that he really would do anything for Bella (including leaving her for her own benefit, as skewed as that may be).

Title: Chapter 38: My love
Ok I nearly pissed my pants with the whole Tanya thing. It was hilarious. And I think Bella is unleashed. And as for steamy, well, mine was in the snow. A trip up to the mountains one day. And as we were going at behind some huge snow coverd boulders a couple of families decided that that would be a could spot for them to have their fun, hense ruining the moment. But up until then it was freaking awesome and I never really felt how cold it was.
