Mid-30s guy with an addiction for fan fiction presently, and a slew of unfinished writing in my file cabinet and computer that I never seem to manage to complete full stories. Plots and bits and pieces, sure, but start-to-finish stories still elude me.
Aside from that I'm always over-thinking things, have a science background but love my fiction books... and I guess I'm a twi-guy being here as much as I am lately :S (I own the series and The Host as well). Also a fan of David Eddings and Clive Cussler.
Just starting an Education degree that'll eventually send me out to Middle and Secondary schools to teach math and science (mostly biology, probably).
Oh and my friends just gave me an Edward doll from the Barbie range (he sparkles! lol they didn't realise it at the time either) My Twi-diction is kind of a running joke for them, but their nice enough about it :)

Summary: When Edward leaves Bella, the rest of his family refuses. Bella is left scarred and broken by Edward's sudden goodbye; the Cullens are left shocked and torn by his unexpected departure. As Bella and her bloodsucking family grow closer, life begins to return to normal.
But just when everything starts to calm down, unexpected events lead to the one thing that can either save or destroy everything the Cullens have.

hahahahah I really shouldn't be laughing at the angsty-pain part of the story, but still, Edward getting his head handed him like that was pretty darned funny... I was actually expecting Bella to throw him through at least one wall or window though. Maybe later... she can use the "newborn" excuse for at least year, right? hehe

Id' say Bella still has a shield of some sort, given she's still unreadable to Edward, but I'm interested to see which way her powers develop since you seem to be hinting at something a little different for her hehe :)

Title: Chapter 2: On With Your Life
Just read through the first two chapters. It's a very interesting start to things - I can see Alice being even more fun than usual sharing the Sight hehe :)
I'm wondering if Bella is aware of vampires since she has her own things to worry about, or if there's more fun to come as she figures it out. Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm really excited to be unfolding all of Bella's little powers throughout the chapters. Eee!
And all of the Cullens are going to more fun than usual...especially Rosalie...but you'll find that out later. ;)

It was weird to picture Angela and Bella attacking/defending, but I'm just so used to Angela being the calm one :)

I've slammed into a brick wall in the past... still not clear on how that one happened, just didn't seem to stop running in time even though i had ample warning visually that hey, there's a wall there!

err all i can think is "OMG Bella!!!" and I wonder how she comes back from that explosion?!
It would appear this Bella doesn't get quite so queasy at her blood? :)

heavy stuff from both PoVs, to be honest.
Edward's done pretty darn good through all of that for Bella, and we know already how much Bella managed to notice during the events. Most likely she'll recall the rest as time moves forwards a bit more.
Summary: 
THIS STORY HAS BEEN PUT ON HIATUS. At least until september-october 2010. I am getting married in august and it's hard to plan a wedding and write at the same time. I applaud those who can do that. I am NOT giving up on this story and I WILL finish it. Eventually. Thanks for understanding.
After Edward left in New Moon, Bella changed. She changed everything about herself in hopes of forgetting him. She graduated and moved down to California. The one place she knew she would never see the Cullens. 4 years later, she is now known as Elle Swan, a successful interior designer. What happens when she is sent somewhere else for her job?

Ahh... so good!! A perfect mix with fluff and reality, you're soo good at writing that I gets envious *envious sigh*.
Have I told you how good this story and idea really is. There are many different stories where Bella changes her personality drastically after Edward left. And of all those stories I have been reading I think you are the one that has captured Bella's personalty best. Many of the stories have changed Bella that much that if she wasn't namned Bella you shouldn't know it was her, but you, even if you see the big changes, you can find the Bella how she was shy, sweet and madly in love with Edward four years ago. With another words - I think you are the one that have captured Bellas character best.

hmm I'd say turn about is fair play... seems to me that Bella just about did what Edward did to her all those years ago.
BUT Bella did it with far more understated style - just like herself - she didn't calculate the words needed to hurt most.
It's sad, but I think I would have been grinding my teeth if Bella had caved too quickly into Edward's arms at this point :) Author's Response: THANK YOU!
